Do you have a woman that inspires you while en femme?

How are you dealing with or handling this aspect of your life?

Do you have a woman that inspires you while en femme?

Post by Annie »

I was just curious if there was a woman that you thought would be the look you strive for when en femme? One of the consistent statements I read when I was online looking for tips on how to be a crossdresser was find a woman that you want to look like or emulate when dressed.

I'm really the other way up. I get taken over by a certain sensibility - I can feel it - when I get dressed up. I recognise it as akin to my mother's -and it's more a question of my presentation articulating that (which I haven't done yet) than searching for something I don't know.

Hi.

Being a female could be different in how I see women. my Mom was a very strong woman mentally and
Psychologically I wont say body wise or strength, where I,m a little different is in body and strength very strong for a female, she was lovely even though through out her life did suffer .

I have never tried to look up to other women because I was a stand alone get on with it and strong minded, and if I needed help I would ask, though not very often as I am very capable of looking after myself and doing things,

When early in life age 10 on what I saw in my Mom was a strength that I carried on with though then I would not have had much clue though Mom let me explore and do things and let me get on with it ,
It was not about wether your a boy or girl none of that applied to me I was my own person and Mom wonted me to be free and to decide what I loved doing there was never this oh you cant do that ….because ...your a boy or girl.

It was go for it, do it, and enjoy so really I was not restricted and I had a free run. plus Mom got me to do things that other kids may not have done or learned from what I saw of other boys doubt they would have done things I did as for girls I will say the same thing. so Mom gave me more than I could have wished for in my youth. and her.... LOVE....so it came down to Mom and myself till my age of 24 = no father,.

I simply strive to be who I would have been had I been born with a female body to match the one in my brain...a mainstream woman with a style that matches who she is... the herd instinct is to follow current trends for the women around you, purchase things you like as you develop your "style" and these things must also fit your body type and work for you... so. Still I do recall my wife and her friend in running shoes, short jeans and casual tops with some ear rings and a necklace watch, bracelet and ring or two....when casual, being the same age for around the house or were I to go out that would still work today though the memory is from a decade ago...really that kind of outfit does not change...clothing styles and fashions though do change and evolve from season to season so I simply shop for current clothing. I look at the women around me who are my age, economic status morals education... women who I am like and who tend to be like me.

I just wish to be Requal and no one else. Hence I dress as to my mood and circumstances at the time.

I also just want to be myself. I want to dress to make myself feel good. I look at women and if I see something I like and think it would look good on me, I might try it. But, I don't want to be a copy someone else.

If I could I would love to dress up in the style of the 1860's. After watching again Ken Burn's epic on the Civil War (available on Netflix) my latest heroine is Clara Barton. Just to celebrate her life and work.

What is on the internet that cannot be believed? There are so many myths misunderstandings and slanders about us who we are why we are etc.... We are all unique with our individual differences but there are again some common threads...hum...literally - ha that being one thing.

..OO.. OMG! Are you trying to tell me that not everything I read on the internet is the gospel truth? The next thing I know is one of you is going to try to tell me that Santa Claus is not a real person!

The scary truth is those myths about us girls existed long before Al Gore created the internet. As one who has been out probably longer than some of you have been alive I have seen it, heard it, lived through it and sadly at certain times today still do. People fear the unknown for whatever reason and let us be honest here we are still a small minority. The best we can do is show them these are just myths, rumors, and in some cases outright lies. I know I have said it before but everyone of you when out in public is an ambassador for the entire community. Make us all proud!

As to the original question of this thread I can look back and think of several women that inspired me at varying times of my life. The truth is the person that inspires me the most is me! I am unique and while I may sometimes upset people with things I say or do I do them because I believe in them. Our greatest strength and courage comes from within ourselves. Cherish that and show it proudly!
