I've been getting bolder with my going out on Saturday errands. The last few weeks I've been completely dressed. First time I wore black leggings, light brown long sleeve ladies t-shirt, with my brown duck boots with boot socks showing, ladies coat and gloves. The next time I wore purple women's tight sweat pants, light grey long sleeve ladies t-shirt, and dark grey Columbia vest, with my grey Sketchers (no coat, but ladies gloves). My first issue was no pockets! Where do you put your wallet, money, credit cards, and cell phone? What about keys? I solved this by using one of my wife's small purses with a strap. I'm going to buy a little cell phone case with places for credit cards. But I quickly found out how much I shove in my pants pockets, and that I and other men seem to constantly shove their hands in their pockets! I had no pockets, so I had to adjust. I have been very aware of "just shoving my hands in my pockets," and have been changing my mannerisms to be more feminine!
The next thing I began to notice and work on is my voice. I've always been mistaken for my Mom then my wife over the phone by strangers. And it is really bad with help desks! I use to try to sound "manly" or at least correct them. A couple of weeks ago I had to call the cable company. It was "mam" this and "mam" that. I just went with it, no correction! Here's where it gets funny. I had to call back, and when I did I just gave them my wife's name. They then addressed me as "Mrs. ------" I loved it! I even had fun with it. "I hope you can help me, my husband will be so upset if I can't get this worked out," "I hope I don't have to have my husband call back - he's had a bad day and he doesn't want to deal with this." It was fun!
I told my wife, and she got a big kick out of it. She said I just accept it and go along with it, I think I will! And I'm going to continue to work on not only my feminine mannerisms, but also my feminine voice.

I know what you mean about the pockets. I think they make them for lipstick and half cell phone.
Ladies jeans have very short pockets most the time. But there is so many purses to go with every outfit. Nice not to have to set on a 2 inch thick wallet. Lol

Finding your voice is a challenge! Mannerisms are too, but for me, trying to develop a more feminine voice is tough.
From the sounds of it though, LeeAnne, you seem to have that part taken care of!

I'm with you on the whole pockets thing. It came as a shock when I bought my first pair of femme jeans. Tiny front pockets only big enough for a flip phone and these has two faux back pockets just stitching no pocket (did make my bum look good though).
Now all my pocket junk lives in my purse along with a small makeup bag.
Sounding like a woman on the phone and in public...yeah well that's not really a problem it's something I have to work at to sound male. You see my voice didn't really break round puberty it sort of "green stick fractured". I called my bank and they assumed I was my wife and nothing would change their mind, even my security questions. So I relented and said my husband will call back later. I'm the primary on the account and any changes must be made by the male me. I called back later that day and had to work to deepen my voice a bit.

One wears a mask for so long you forget who you are beneath it......I've now removed my mask.

pockets in girls jeans are almost useless.
only good for lipstick. and coins, I usually just throw in the purse.
when I go out dressed I try not to say much. I smile a lot .
I say I have a sore throut. it usually works.
as for mannerisims . still working on that.

Lady like mannerisms take lots of practice to become second nature. Older women tend to have a slightly husky voice any way. I hear that singing along with a favorite female artist is a good way to practice your girl voice.
