I'd suggest that when a forum has over 655 members then there is always going to be a mix of all types of people and there is only so much control can be exerted by the moderators or else the forum defeats its' purpose. I'd also agree that it's in the best interest of people, for more reasons than one, to have alternative outlets to meet their needs.
There is always going to be people who you align with moreso than others, that's just human nature, and I'd suggest that maybe you can give thought to choosing people who you may feel the most comfortable with and PMing them to see if they are interested in more private contact with you by such mediums as MSN Messenger or ICQ or Yahoo Messenger. This way it gives you an alternative means on satisfying any emotional needs you have which may arise from the forum not being able to meet them.
The internet has been a god send for so many people who were or still are severely closeted, but people need to make it work for them and not against them. I'm always willing to make myself available for others to interact with as I've travelled nearly the full journey from closted CD to transition and I full well know how people can feel at all stages between. I don't profess to know it all, nobody does, but I feel it's paramount for those of us who conquered our fears and walked free, to try and make the path easier for those coming behind.

I don't think this site has lost it's faith in itself. Nor would I condemn it's members because of a few unfavorable PM's you might have received. I'm pretty new to this site, but have been CD'ing for 40 + years now. While it has gotten easier over time, I had to deal with this for so long with no support from anyone because I couldn't tell anyone. I only wish there had been a site like this one and Crossdressers.com back when I was much younger. Most of us back then went through life thinking we were the only one's like this and carrying around a lot of unnecessary guilt about it because we didn't know any better.
There are a lot of caring people here to reach out to and share your thoughts and feelings with if you give them the chance. Don't give up on this site and it's members and more importantly, on yourself.

One thing that's not resolved is the rules for PMing someone.
Going forward. Anyone who gets PMs from someone and they think they are harassing or negative please ask them to not PM you again. If it persists then please notify Sharon, CJ, Love or myself and we'll take action, ok?
Gelinda I'm hoping your last post wasn't just a good bye post in disguise. I do believe you didn't mean to cause a raucous and actually it looks like you brought a lot of our forum faithful together. We all have our days and we all share them here. Don't worry about this thread at all. I think it was good medicine for us and our brother/sisterhood.

No matter how unique we feel we are, there is a good chance that someone else has undergone the same feelings, disappointments, challenges, sadness and frustration that all of us have felt.

I don't understand fully what your going thru, butif it,s the nasty PMs getting you down, then ignore them. The second day I came to this site I got a message-Liar. I got upset, but nobody knows me or what I went thru in life. There are just nasty people out in the world and some of them will be here as well.
