Well this information brings four things to mind.
1) I guess the world is not quite as accepting as we might wish?
2) What would be the purpose of sharing that kind of information on a site like that in the first place?
I can only see it bringing you grief.
3) Here is your chance girls.....to start educating.
4) I am sorry you and your wife need to go through this Calina.

Calina,
My PERSONAL opinion on this is that you took the opportunity to somewhat educate a few folks about what a crossdresser is. Even MORE importantly you let them know what a crossdresser ISN'T!! The response you got (Thanks for sharing your personal experience and shedding a bit more light on a subject I know next to nothing about) is pretty good evidence that at least one person has been enlightened about it somewhat, and in a POSITIVE manner too. Admittedly, one person isn't a lot, but what about all those who probably read your post and didn't reply at all?

Calina,
I wish to pass my applause to you. You had strength of mind to answer a somewhat short and by the initials at the beginning of their response, impatient post. To educate someone in the diplomatic attitude that you have can only help better our situation. As some of the other girls have said, to educate 1 in a hundred is still a start. It can only grow from there. You are right about Talk Back hosts making a mockery of the every day CD/TG in their shows (not that you often see an every day CD/TG you normally see those that are "In Your Face"). I think it would be wonderful should at least one high profile host see our plight for what it is and host a serious show regarding CD/TG matters, instead of making it a three ring circus with us CD/TG's as the "Freak Show Main Attraction".
Well done Girl. If we could all educate 1 person each and get a positive reaction and understanding, then we a truely on our way to acceptance. As they will in turn say something to someone else and the flow on effect could be enlightening to the world. But then again some doomsayers will say that the risk of the flow on could be disasterous for our cause. Keep the Faith and keep speaking, and acceptance may just catch up to us all one day.
Great thread by the way, unusual start, but great thread none the less.
