Time spent w/o dressing

Although it's quite common for non-dressing periods to last several months or in some cases years, for me the longest that I have ever gone without even partially dressing was only about 3 weeks or so.

The longest I went was almost 4 years without getting dressed all the way.

I still wore my somethings underneath though. So I didn't know how to answer, but I answered years.

When I stop dressing, it is all the way. Nothing whatsoever. The longest, so far, was about a year. Over this last winter I went 5 months. I am presently up to week 9 or 10 (didn't mark it on my calendar) without anything female. Like Gelinda, I have boxed up all of my "stuff" and put it in storage. There is an echo in my closet now.

Without dressing fully? Longest period: about four years. Without dressing even partially (underdressing, etc.)? About two or three weeks. Dressing as a man and feeling comfortable about it? Never.

Hi all,

I voted for years, because I went from age 18 to 51 without dressing en femme. Actually as a teenager it was mostly lingerie, then I started college.

At age 51, a number of factors reawakened the urge and my loving wife accepted it.

Since I restarted, the longest time with no femme things to wear was this summer for 9 days when we went to her older sister's place, then to Maine for a week with 2 of her sisters and others, then back to the sister's for a day. During then, my wife wore our favorite soft nightgowns and i slept close by her.

Usually, I don't go more than a few days without dressing, and unless we have company, bedtime is nightgown time.

Interesting topic. The longest, from age 8 until 20. During years 5, 6 and 7, I was playing with a girlfriend, playing teaparty, shopping, etc., and was her girlfriend in dress up clothes and a little in hers. We played dolls, paper dolls, and other games often during those two years, and when we shifted from a dress up game to a non dress up game, I often didn't bother to change, as she didn't either. After age 10, the thoughts of being or needing to be a girl were never far from me and day dreaming mostly about ways it could happen was one of the things that made me seem a poor student in high school. A or B on tests without trying, but low class participation, sloppy, haphazard home work pulled grades to B and C, unless I really liked a class or the teacher was good.

After 20, I tried dressing a few times while an undergrad in college, alone and very much in the closet, with a very limited wardrobe. Never seemed to be about the clothes with me anyway. After gradutation, Uncle Sam generously allowed me a new set of clothes, which I wore for most of four years with no opportunity and really little desire to be dressed up, but with thoughts about and trying to understand and master the conflict I felt everyday. After the military, it was back to school, and a gradual accumulation of a limited wardrobe, including a wig. Tried to find the girl or now the young women I knew was inside, but with limited success. Could make me feel better for a time though to be dressed some. Alternated denial, frustration, depression, relieve depression with dressing up, back to denial, frustration, the entire cycle repeating, and repeating. Last one started in 1994 when my attention was needed by family illness, and ended in Dec. 1999 when a friend asked me if I was committing slow suicide, and I realized I was, by trying in a way to eat so much and excercise so little I could have a heart attack or stroke. All unconsciously, of course, as I have never consiously considered suicide a viable alternative (#-o. Sorry, it just slipped out. ) Had understanding as to why, but due to age and doubts about passing talked myself into halfway measure of always dressing under my "work uniform", and wearing "my" clothes at home. Last few years let hair, nails grow. Helps, but not working to end the underlying problem, and now I am four years older and uglier!! Need a new plan!!!!

I had the occasional experience in a dress as a kid , I stopped at about 13 when I became interested in girls.
My interest in girls clothing re-ignited at about age 23 until getting married , I gave it up for about 18 months.
I decided to give it away in june 2001 and threw all my stuff out , I took it up again in May 2003 almost 2 years later.

I'm pre-planning a break for the most of next year , I dont know how long the break will last exactly.
This is to give my family a break from it.
My wife and kids are in Sydney for a weeks holiday , I think the truth is they just want to get away from me.

8 years between the age of 42 and 50 no woman's clothing what so ever during that time.

During those years I never found the comfort I now find in the clothes I am wearing.

I had to answer "other", because I did not totally understand what the defintion of "dressed" was. I mean, does underdressing count? If I just wore panties, does that count as dressed? If it does that I have only gone months without dressing since I was in my late teens. But is you mean totally dressing up then it would be years. From 1990 until just recently I did not dress up fully or put makeup on because I promised my wife I would not.

Which by the way, I truely reget. She did not appreciate the sacrifice, and I missed out on feeling great.

It grows on you.

I used to do it (underdressing) only rarely.

Now it is underdressing 24/7 unless the company I'm with dictates that would be a problem. Has been for about ten years. I never dress in feminine outer clothes.

Sometimes I have to force myself to buy some men's briefs just so I have something to put in the bedside drawer and throw in the laundry, to avoid awkward questions! I can't keep pretending to use stuff I bought ten years ago.

Cool question, When I was at uni I went about a year without dressing, and I never ever thought about it until I got home in the summer holidays and saw all the clothes again.

Then when I went back to uni I took a few of my Sisters things with me, she was throwing them out I think lol

It's ironic.

I was originally planning to take the summer off from dressing altogether in anticipation of the heat. But alas, it has been quite a relatively cool albeit WET summer.

Needless to say I changed my mind about giving Lorna a break, and this summer I have been dressing almost daily (with the exception of makeup which I only wear when I go out)

Now as fall approaches and cooler more comfortable weather heads our way, I will only be going out dressed even more often, even to the corner store to pick up some milk...

Yes, I have to agree with Lorna. The colder the weather, the more I dress. I hate seeing the leaves fall, but I love the fact that when I dress I don't sweat.
