I need Links!
Hello all-
By now you've all heard the goings on of Nicole. I have not really talked to my kids about it yet-they are not ready, and that's ok. What would be really helpful to my family and friends would be a list of great links I can point them to to help them understand me (and us) better. I would apppreciate any and all you can give for-
teenage boy and girl-
wife-
friends-
acquaintances-
siblings-
other?
Thanks sooooo much! I really appreciate it!

Hi Nicole. It's Jeannie out of the bottle!
I can't speak for any of the other ladies here but this is what I did in my particular situation. At 55 I just got tired of not being me. I know we are all different here. We all dress for different reasons. If you want to dress occasionally, dress for the thrill or for whatever reason just do it. That's fine. If you are a person who has to live it you will know it. I never felt comfortable in the role as a male. I came out to everyone I know in the last few months and let the chips fall where they may. You can go on a million sites with advice and stories but you never know how people will react until you do it. My kids 19 and 22 like me more. I was always sullen and depressed my whole life. My wife left and none of her friends or family ever speak to me anymore but that's fine. Who needs them? Some people I was afraid to tell are better friends than ever and people I thought would be OK freaked out. My older sister keeps calling me and keeps asking me If I'm getting therapy. It's almost funny. It's been quite a ride but you really find out who your true friends are. If you are person like me that has to live your life just do it and don't look back. I spent my whole life making others comfortable at my expense. No more. Everyone knows what to expect if they come to my home. If they choose not to come. Fine. You have to do what you works for you Hon. This worked for me and if others don't like it,I show them the door. Wish you the best whatever you decide is right for you. That is all that matters. Everyone is allowed to live their life. Why not us? Hugs.
Love
Jeannie

Thank you for the links! I really appreciate them. You gals are great!
Jeannie-
You have certainly got the right idea, and I applaud you. The courage that you have to be who you are is a lesson you are giving to every t-person. Your message screams-'Be who you are!' I am hearing that from the few peolpe I have told, and it is blowing me away. My daughter is one of them! My sons are a little reluctant to say that, but I know they want me to be happy to. Thanks for getting in the trenches and fighting the good fight for t-people everywhere. Keep posting Jeannie, as I like your shitzpah!

Hi Nicole,
Here a link that has some good reading I think for everyone. There's surely something there that might help.

Danette-
Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, it is much more serious than just 'crossdressing'. It's who I am. As I've moved along this path, I have progressed to the point where I think I finally understand what's going on. I believe I am TS, and now have to deal with the fall out from that. Exciting to know I've figured it out, but scary at the same time as you can probably guess. SO, if you have any good TS family links, that would be awesome! Thanks!

Hi Nicole. This link has some good info and other links too.
http://www.firelily.com/gender/gianna/ and
http://www.tsroadmap.com/mental/comeout.html
There is also http://www.beginninglife.com/newboard
That would be best just for you. It has some similarities to this board in ease of use and friendliness, but definitely TS in attitude. You will find several old friends there already.
