Hi Everyone,
Being new here I have been spending alot of time reading back posts. To make this short,I dont feel so alone anymore. It was getting bad.All my self confidence is gone and I was thinking whats the point.I will admit to attempting suicide on three occasions since 1979.Thank you all for being here and accepting me.I have a little hope now. :)

Jennifer,

I'm sorry that you felt the desperation to try suicide several times. :( Do take your time to read through the archives . . . you'll find that many of your sisters have gone through the same, or similar, things that you are going through, and how they have overcome or are coping with them.

I know quite a few of our members credit this forum for saving themselves, and I'm glad we're here to help you, too.

Glad we could be here for you Jennifer.

Note that nothing is bad enough to commit suicide. Nothing.

Welcome Jennifer. I'll be looking forward to hearing more from you.

I'll echo the others about suicide. Nothing is worth killing ourselves over and gender ambiguity or clothing preferences are not terminal illnesses.

Stress and depression becoming so bad after trying to hide/supress crossdressing (or any gender identity issue) on a longterm basis that it leads to physical health problems or suicide attempts isn't that uncommon.

You really aren't alone.

``5 Hi Jennifer,

You made a good move coming here.
There are a lot of good people here. who I know will help you as much as they can.
Check out my posts over the years, I have had plenty of high and lows, and recall days of absolute despair too.

But this Forum has helped me, coupled with support from my family and friends, to cope with being different.

take care,
Kerri

Jennifer,
Life did not promise you a rose garden, but blessed you with a Gift that can return rewards beyond you highest expectations. I don't know where you are or where you feel you are on the "Crossdresser's Continuum" but there is a place for everyone. This, Magical Mystery Tour is wondrous thing to behold and to be part of and participate in!

Far be it from me to tell someone how to take their "Trip Around the Sun." I know whince cometh a lot of my sisters here on the forum and when or if you find your place and define it FIRST for yourself then express it to us on the forum it will be enlightenment to us.

To contemplate suicide over this gift, does tell me that you take it seriously and to get past that and accept Jennifer is one of the greatest stages in your life. Now comes the "what do I do next" stage? And with that there are a lot of your sisters here willing to offer advice and from that "rose garden" you can pick and choose your own bouquet and then you can really "stop and smell the roses!"

Keep the faith honey and we are proud to call you one of our sisters!

Hi Jennifer
I'm a 56 year old broad and I must tell you that life isn't a bowl of cherries for anyone. However, no matter who you are, you are someone who is important and means a lot to the people who love you.

Don't beat yourself up or minimize who you are as a human being. You are just you. It's not evil. Others might try to make you feel that way, but don't let them get to you Hon. Big hug and lipstick smooch.

Love
Jeannie

Hi ,
Thanks again to everyone for all the encouragement and support.I consider myself to be bi gender.I like being my male self as much as my feminine self. Both come very naturally to me and I need both sides to make the whole person I find I am.I have never had support from family, they dont even want to know about it.I believed it was about a year ago when I gave up fighting this and now try my best to go with it.I must say again finding this forum and all the kind people on it has made a tremendous difference in just these few short weeks. As I read the past posts I find myself feeling more comfortable with who I am.I feel my confidence coming back.I hope to start going out again soon,I used to go to Albany for the weekend.Someday I will again. \:D/
