a manly question?

How are you dealing with or handling this aspect of your life?

I'm 6'-3" and 235 somewhat muscular. I suppose I could pass if people couldn't get a good look at me except that I refuse to shave off my beard. So I walk around in the woods at night communing with mother nature.

On the other hand many here have mentioned that there are places, especially in some of the larger cities, where you don't have to look like anything except what you really are, which is a man pretending to be a woman. Someday I may try one of them.

I love it!!!! Vito, "there is nothing more embarrassing than getting your backside kicked by a guy wearing a dress!" My kind of guy! =D>

I can add not much than so reiterate that "honey, it comes from the inside, you have to believe in yourself!"

As you may have read, we are all on what we refer to as the CD Continuum (not you GG's - give me a break! ) and from one end to the other, there is no right or wrong place to be, it is just that as you approach the end opposite those who may only wear one or two items a couple of time a year or so, it does become more of an internal "gift," if you will! You don't necessarily have to know immediately were you are on the continuum but it is a goal!

Then there is the possibility of having to take "Virginia's Challenge." You make yourself up at your best effort, stand in front of that full length mirror and look into the eyes of that girl looking back at you, not at what she looks like or what she is wearing but at her, then you have to ask yourself a couple of questions: "What is she worth to you?!" and "What are you willing to do or give up for her?" A lot of our sisters never reach that point and there is nothing wrong with that, but if you do and you are honest with yourself it can be an epiphany for some.

I don't mean to "wax philosophical" but these are the things that some of us have been through and can only offer suggestions.

Good luck on your "Magical Mystery Tour" and as you can see we are here to help and support you in whatever you choose!

Oh, if you can let us know where you are from we can direct you to some support groups or even "cosmopolitan clubs" that would be happy to have you visit!

Love,

Virginia

On another forum, there is a member called "Butterfly Bill". He too has a beard and wears dresses/skirts/blouses and etc. He goes out in public too. Yes he gets stares, but his attitude is as long as no one bothers me, they can stare all they want to. To him he is no worse than a guy with multi-colored spiked hair, tatoos, and piercings. LOL

Just starting to explore my feminine nature- am very shy meek and demure. Addicted to looking and acting ladylike. Still have so many questions about exactly who I am- have so many mixed emotions about my gender issues.
