Are you less nervous around women while dressed?

How are you dealing with or handling this aspect of your life?

Thank you sooooo much everyone, I really appreciate it. This forum is wonderful! I will keep looking for a possible GG, and I do have an affiliation towards younger women, so maybe I should look in that route, but I will also try to be more comfortable with who I am when around others, and not feel so much pressure, but just be honest. Y'all made my day! Hugs

My wife and I where married for over 19 years before she passed.
I do not think I will ever find a great girl like her. She was OK with
my dressing, and would even pick out things for me to get from the
catalogs. For Lighting to strike twice in my life would be a miracle.
Not that I will ever stop looking, but my hopes are not that high.

I have not left the privacy of my own home. However my wife is comfortable with my dressing.

One day I may take that giant step some of us fear, and when I have the confidence and courage, go out dressed. (It is still to arrive).

Well I have not dressed in public yet. But I have always felt more comfortable talking with women. All of my really close friends are women, and the only other person besides my wife who knows about my dressing is a woman. Right now I can't think of a single male friend I would be comfortable telling. And when the time comes to let Olivia go out in public, being around women would make the experience easier.

Adding to being more comfortable with women, I had a very deep conversation with my friend at work today. After showing her the new purple bag and discussing scarfs for the denim dress, we talked about cross-dressing in general and me in particular. It was an amazing 15-20 minutes and I used a lot of information gleaned from my friends here. And there is no way I could have opened up like that to a man. Then we ended the day with a nice hug and peck between two friends. Beautiful.

I posted somewhere about the nervousness with trying on shoes, but this also is about being comfortable with women. I was out by myself early and decided to look in Payless. The store was completely empty which was great. But the salesperson was a man and I just gave a quick looked and left. He made me feel uneasy. Then I was going to look in a small clothing store that had nice looking things in the window, but I could see the owner in the window (yes a male) and never even got out of the car. Just didn't feel right.

I have always felt far more at ease with women than men. Perhaps because I grew up in an all female household?
