Having been initiated by wearing a large hoop skirt, hooped petticoat and pantellettes to a costume party, I learned how to potty the hard way. Lift skirt and hoop and drop pantellettes. And ALWAYS sit.

That principle has carried forward with me . ALWAYS SIT!

If I am at a party and dressed as a woman, I always use the ladies room as well since I make a very passable woman and do not get any unusual looks. Plus I can also fix my makeup and lipstick. Oh my!

Dear Martha,

In the movies, those big hooped skirts look so, well, elegant, different and restricting. Those were the days before indoor plumbing too! It would be fun to experience for a day, but I'm glad those fashions are long gone. Your closets must be huge!

Oh, Eileen, you should enjoy them! Ultimate femme fashion. They do have their challenges, but you feel like a princess.

Normally there are two, en femme there were seven

Out in the real world last night for the first time was an opportunity to apply proper mannerisms. A visit to the ladies room was a time consuming affair with seven articles to deal with as opposed to two while in boy mode...

Dress -> slip -> girdle -> waste cincher -> sheer pantyhose -> opaque pantyhose -> and panties of course

Oh, and I have always sat, that is unless I'm in a public facility dressed as a male.
Normal, just not average,

Robyn's post brings up a good point, as I mentioned elsewhere, I LOVE garterbelts. (an aside -- there is a lovely Retro Blue bullet bra, full brief panty and garter belt set at Secrets in Lace that I am going to get to wear as my Valentine's Day trousseau to look all girl-licious for my sweetie) .. AHEM -- calm down girl....

Panties-- over or under your garter belt? Know the way I learned as a teen girl was over (I was self taught for obvious reasons - just as I was taught to put on my bra at that time -- there were some lovely instruction books at that era), but that is not always the way to do it. Any thoughts?

Hugs

I have usually sat even when not dressed and even before I was really dressing that much dressed or not. To me it always seemed more natural. Then after I got married it just seemed easier to go ahead and sit rather than deal with the whole seat up and down issue.

When in the womans restroom act like a woman and sit. When in the mens restroom do what you please, sit or stand just keep it in the toilet  .

I always sit, whether dressed en femme or in drab. It is much more feminine and much much cleaner. In the public restrooms, I will often hover.

When in Rome do as the Romans do.

When dressed as a lady, do as the ladies do! SIT.

If I am dressed as a woman, a woman I shall be!

I sit every time I use the toilet, whether dressed as a woman or in my male clothes. I can't remember the last time that I used a urinal in a public men's room.

At home, I always sit. 100%.

At work, en drab, I can't always sit. Not enough stalls. For reasons too gruesome to discuss here, I hate having to use a urinal.

I would wear my panties over my garter belt, instead of under, so that I can remove the panties for toileting, without having to disengage the hosiery.

Hugs,

Bernice
