I am pleased to hear that things look better, CJ. Remember what we have talked about - it's quite easy to be really ok with this in our brain, but to have it be a major surprise with a serious startle factor when you are sitting there looking at your guy en femme.
For many of us, we find that we are startled and disconcerted by our own reactions. I know I am. I didn't expect to feel the things I felt. I didn't expect to be waylaid by gender expectations that I didn't even know I had. I didn't expect the brain and the gut to react totally differently. It totally threw me - not that he dressed, but that I felt all these neanderthalette feelings inside.
You know as well as all of us who are over 18, love isn't always enough. But it's a hell of a start! Wishing you starry nights and smiling mornings!

I'm glad to hear that things seem to be working out CJ. I hope this experience will make the next crisis (rest assured there will be one) less scary.
Your post really made me happy. You have posted so many wonderful things about your relationship that it was discouraging to think that it wasn't working out.

Cj, Honey! She told you one of the most important first steps and you know it ! She is willing to learn!!! That in itself is a giant step in a relationship - you know what went through! She did not want ANYTHING to do with learning anything about me, what I was going through, how it came about, where it might go - NOTHING!!!
You know as much about how to proceed with this as anyone, remember our motto: "Small steps honey, just small steps!"
I am so happy that you two communicated well enough to re-define your relationship. I so hope you can make this work out.
Remember, in our defense, a woman could do a lot worse than establishing a relationship with a crossdresser!
We love you CJ!
Keep the faith,
Virginia

CJ, I'm so glad your first take proved to be inaccurate.
She may go through the acceptance pendulum, but it sounds like she's willing to try, which is all one can ask.

Hi ya'll,
I just popped over to the link on the Acceptance Pendulum that Marlena posted. Very good - very much on target for much of it - specifically down toward the end when the author talks about the difference between logical and emotional acceptance.
God, it's nice to know I'm not the only one!
