Hi Donna,
Somebody has an evil agenda in that town , I'd be staying home if I lived there.

"Three Navajo cross-dressers killed in four years

Three Navajo cross-dressers have been killed in Albuquerque, New Mexico, over the past four years but authorities don't know whether the crimes are related.
All three victims were beaten to death and their bodies were found in the same part of town. Two of the victims were found just a couple of blocks from each other.
The latest victim was Teri Benally, 42, whose body was found early Saturday. Just a month prior, Fredrick Watson, 32, was found dead only three blocks away.
In January 2005, Ryan Shey Hoskie, 23, was found beaten to death.

You know I will never understand the hate in this country, why is it people don't beat gay or lesion people? but a crossdress nobody seems to think nothing of it. WHY the hate? we are just people.

A direct quote from a plaque at the base of the Statue of Liberty:
Give me your tired, your poor
Your huddled masses, yearning to breathe free.
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest – lost to me.
So we can kill them, they're different from us.
We don't like that.
Honestly though, I'd chalk it up to the attacker's insecurity and feeling threatened by an expression of something different from their limited understanding of normalcy vs. one's freedom of expression.
Simply put, ignorance breeds hate. Hate breeds violence.

Gays do get beat, and killed. Remember Matthew Shepard?
We need to ask

More than just cursory questions about this. This may not be a case of gay or trans gender bashing per se.
There are some cross dressers that will dress up and engage in prostitution. While not good, if someone represents themselves as a female, when they are not, they are putting themselves in a VERY DANGEROUS position.
That does not excuse the violence against them, but it may explain it. Crossdressing is fine, but representing yourself as a woman and engaging in prostitution is a prescription for disaster.

I'm also wondering about the fact that all three were Navajo.
