Hi all!

I am 19, and obviously a fan of cross dressing. I am into girls, however wish I could be like and act like them. I love fashion, and ballet. So i was wondering if anyone has any experience, or advice. I want to try to join a ballet studio that is for girls. I want to ask for permission, to be treated and dress like the other girls as well. I have no experience in dance, however am dying to learn. I feel that ballet is not only a beautiful extracurricular, however a great way to act more like a lady. Please add any thoughts or advice. Thanx

Hi, Mily, and welcome to the Forum!

Just a suggestion, but you might want to make a post in New Members and introduce yourself to everyone . . . we're a friendly family and don't bite, well, okay, we nibble!

Hi Mily,

Don't know if you had the opportunity to watch any of the show on television over Christmas but they had several ballet companies performing "The Nutcracker" and it was amazing to see the different interpretations. Also, I remember in college our football coach made us take ballet and I understand that some pro football teams still have their players take ballet.

I can honestly say it helped me, although none of us would admit it in college at that time. It does teach you grace and balance and, well, let's just say it - feminine movements or what would be construed as being feminine, and that ain't a bad thing! It makes you more flexible and helps with hand and arm gestures in a more graceful way.

Go for it!!!

My daughter belongs to a dance studio. It seems there are two questions here, one of can you do it as a girl, and one about dance generally. It might be helpful to sort out which is predominate. You could start by dancing as a boy and if you enjoy the dancing then try to continue as a girl.

It will depend a lot on your age and the studio. Many studios have mostly teenage girls, which introduced all sorts of issues. There is also the question of which changing room you use and that sort of thing. On the other hand a class with older women may be more comfortable.

If it is dance itself that excites you at all I'd urge you to pursue it. It is a wonderful art form.

I like ballet. I hate the callouses, though.
