Any advice on day to day fem?

Post by Lily »

So here is my situation. Any advice anyone can give will be helpful.

I started crossdressing very young, about 6 or 7. Of course by the time I was 9 my mother walked in on me and told me how “wrong” I was. I have kept my secret for more then 30 years now because of that.

I’m not gay, I just feel more comfortable in fem. My friends like to call it… metro. They don’t know I dress, they just say I have style. lol

I work with some people however who are very homophobic. I don’t think they would feel comfortable with me if they knew I liked to crossdress. The few people who know tell me I should not care, but I think it’s important that people be able to work together without being uncomfortable. But now I’m not as happy as I could be. I want to fit in at work but the more fem I am the more at ease I feel.

So hear is the question. What can I do in my day to day life to feel more fem without making my coworkers and the others around me uncomfortable and without taking it so far that I upset my SO?

I all ready shave my body. I ware panties 80% of the time. I ware thigh highs, tights and pantyhose as often as I can. I have even tried to ware camisoles under my shirts. But then I’m afraid someone will notice.

I’m looking for things I can do that will help me feel fem at home, at work and out of the house. Things I can do without too much fear of people noticing.

Fem jeans/pants. Fem-ish shirts. I do it. If anyone says anything to me, I just give 'em the "You're gonna give me grief over jeans/pants and a shirt"? thing.

Try acting like a woman rather than letting the clothes define you.

Some will say this just means doing the dishes, or at a deeper level trying to be more empathic to others.

Redfine fem to mean whatever it is that you are. After all Native Americans considered torturing captives to be womens work, or feminine. Not that I'm suggesting you harm anyone. I'm just saying that if you feel you are feminine, then for you that's what feminine is.

Guess I am too much of an empath as I can not tolerate any longer, people as you referred to "homophobic's," Surfice it to say, I have become a "life and people are beautiful, so live and let live" person.
