Strange things evolve

Back twelve years ago when I first met my SO, she was a simple farm girl...just plain and simple.
Before being "seroius" with my dressing, I can remember her getting very excited seeing me "acting crazy" wearing garter belt/stockings and heels.
As I progressed, a few years later, she found tags from a bra set that I bought, I had a rough time trying to explain.
Since that point I have had a constantly rotating trove of clothing. Most of it is hidden from her, and a small percentage is out in the open for her to see and criticize.
She constantly complains about my naturally long hair as well.
I'm lucky to be self-employed so I exercise my option to wear womens fashions at work (toned-down though)...to my observations, no customers or associates have made comment (some very slightly).
My SO thinks that gay people are righteous but has absolutely no tolerance for a male who expresses himself in a feminine manner. In fact, when we have a normal conversation, sometimes I will mention that a special TG friend stopped by to see me at the office, her tone of voice goes stone cold.
I have also noticed that for the past few years, she has been buying clothing like it's going out of style. Not the old farm girl anymore.
What is this?? I'm changing and she's changing??? I'm really getting mixed feelings on how she views me and it's horror trying to explain myself to someone who will not discuss crossdressing.
She has asked me to explain but I already know that the conversation is going to be opposed.
Sorry ladies.....I'm frustrated and just letting off steam.
