Ear Rings and Stuff

Post by JoAnnDallas »

I got my ears pierced about 14 weeks ago. Over the Labor Day weekend, we go and visit my sister. Now my sister is very very religious and does not know about my fem side. Anyway here we are sitting in the Den talking, when all of a sudden she says, "How do you like your ear rings?" Now this kinda stun both wife and I for a moment. This coming from my sister. I glance at my wife and say, "They feel great, only had them for 14 weeks". My sister then asks if they are Gold and I reply they are. She reply's, "Good, you have to be careful at first to make sure no infection sets in". Then she remarks, "I see your nails are polished, Do you like that shade?" I replied, "Yes I do". So we talk a little more about ear rings and things and then it off to other subjects and no more is said. Later when wife and I were alone, she says, "I was not expecting that" and I replied, "Neither was I".
So the saying, "that we are our worst enemy's" is true. LOL

Oh so true Joanne

It's been nearly two years since I got mine pierced and I have never had a negative comment about them but plenty of positive ones - especially from women. I hope you enjoy your ears as much as I do.

I know some things.

I've been seeing that guys are starting to move away from just studs to small hoops. One day they might have some cute ones and colorful ones.

No matter what the men are wearing for ear rings, Ro isn't letting me get pierced until I think someplace freezes over.

I have a rebellious youth to thank for the 4 extra holes in my ears, it's awesome that your sister is all caring and such for you about your new ear holes, that's just the icing on the cake, JoAnn.

Just remind her that Hell (Michigan!) freezes every winter and has frozen over more times than most can remember, so her excuse for not letting you get your ears pierced and wearing pretty earrings has been rendered null and void.

Yes, there really is a Hell, Michigan . . . very pretty in the spring, summer and fall, but it really earns its name in the winter!!

Congrats Leeza, you have a sister who is practicing religion as it's meant to be. Ro is a practicing religious person and she does pretty good with all people including this nut. The issue with ear rings is that her parents are old world (literally) and so we don't rock their boat. Heck the Brat had gotten some visible piercings and that had my in laws saying our kid was growing up to be bad, but they got over it. Still cannot rock the boat about some things.

Yep.... I would like to have mine pierced but there is Church, my conservative sisters, and inlaws. My older son had his pierced, even two spikes on either side of his lower lip which I objected to. And there are more men and teenage boys running around with holes in their ears. But I am kind of stuck with my clip-ons. We really do hold the keys to our own jail cell. Some things done can't be undone so we have to think carefully as well.
