A Step back to God

I had shunned oganized religion since the death of my wife. I found "organized" religion too strict and up tight about social issues such as us girls. I recently found the United Church of Christ and have been going for three weeks now. They are very accepting of me as Kim and welcome with open arms. I had a meeting with the pastor this afternoon and even registered as a parishoner. Don't know if it means anything to anyone but I find it soothing and helpful.

It's great when you can find any community that accepts you as you are, and a church can be especially helpful. I'm glad to hear about it.

I tend to agree with you Kim about organized religion. I belong to a small non-demoninational church and find peace, solace, andacceptance.I am glad you have found a place whereyou can not only pursue the ways of God but more importantly do it as yourself.

Kim I am glad you found an excepting church. It can be tough as even a church that says they are accepting still may have members that may not be as accepting.
I go to a church enfemme and so far they seem accepting of me. I have not blurted out I am CD/TG but some have picked up on it or question. but they have all been very friendly to me.

All of the Agape MCC churches accept Trans people of both sexes. You can find a MCC church in any major city. My Tri-Ess chapter in Dallas, TX meets in a MCC church and many of the members attend church services en fem.
