am i just very fortunate?
Over the years, I have always enjoyed crossdressing. Until recently, i was always closeted, kept everything hiddent, etc from my wife. My marriage of 30+ years is excellent in all ways except sexually, which brings me to my point. My wife and I were never very sexually active. We enjoyed cuddling, etc., but sex was never a big part of our relationship. Since my wife went through menopause we have become almost "asexual". Its been a very long time since we've had sex, and neither of us miss it. What has happened is that I have become more and more comfortable dressing en femme at home, and she has been accepting of it. We've never discussed it, but I now wear only panties, women's jeans and at home i'm most often in capri pants and a flowy femme top. I think that as we have stopped our sexual relationship, we have reached a comfort zone where we have become "sisters"? . The thing that amazes me, is we have never discussed it. it just kind of happened. We love each other very much, and I always thought we could read each other's minds, but not to this point.

Sisters? Interesting.
You mean, no more cuddling type of intimacy?
No, can't say as I've experienced that. I'm happy being my wife's husband, regardless of how I'm dressed.
to the forum, btw.

Felicity,
I wish my wife would have treat me as good as she treats her sister. Maybe it would be a consolation to the sex disappearing. She doesn't let me dress won't let me hug her or give more than a peck for a kiss.

I guess what I am so amazed about is the whole evolution of our marriage. I shave my underarms and legs, and when she goes to the store, she buys razors for both of us, we share the satin care shave lotion, etc. etc. But we have never had any real discussions about it. She and I have grown closer it seems, and I think our intimacy is of a more emotional quality, rather than pyhsical.

If you're happy with the way things are, then I'd say that's always worth considering good fortune. That's not necessarily the same thing as luck, though. There's a lot to be said for having chosen a mate who is comfortable with who you are. I'd wager there's also something about the way you approach your dressing that helps her feel more comfortable with it, whether you know it or not.
In any case, I'm glad to hear that you're happy with your situation. I, too, consider myself among the very fortunate.

Ro and I are in love but not sexually. That's gone to the way side. We have had out many discussions, but my dressing more and more is partly me pushing and Ro stopping the worrying about it. As I write this, I'm sitting beside Ro while I'm in a skirt. I didn't ask, I just wear them these days.
The luck? I think it's me with a good bunch of it between helpful friends and family, the opportunities, etc. I've had a good and happy life.

Kimberly and Davita: You are both right. I am very forutnate, and we are one of those people who I guess were meant to find each other. And I sat reading your responses while I was in my capris and strappy sandals sitting on the balcony with my wife. Fortunate, blessed, luck or whatever...I wouldn't trade it.

Felicity, how I envy your relationship. That would be heaven to me!
