the lesson in stage fright

How about "thought substitution" instead of "coping with few privacy breaks" ... long ago, I was at a gig where the musicians told a story before doing a song ... One story is famous, about a young musician being coached about how to deal with "stage fright" the "trick" in overcoming such , is to imagine everyone in the audience, sitting there in their underwear" ... So, I'm beginning to think that "worse" than being unable to wear nice stuff , is "being "imagined " by a frightened musician , to be wearing "ugly"stuff.
