Funny weird conversation.

Got home from work and my brother-in law brought in dinner for my wife. I felt like getting what passes for pizza here, and went change. I had on shorts and came back wearing long pants. She looks and says, pants? I say, well you know I don't go out with my legs uncovered. Then I added, unless I wear a skirt. She smiled so I asked, did you expect me to be wearing a skirt? She said, maybe. I said, I have a nice one to put on. She smiled and shrugged her shoulders. I got the car and we went for the "pizza." Interesting convésation, will be pondering this.

Next time if the subject comes up again, ask her what she might like to see you in. If she says skirt; ask if there is one in particular. She's likely to tell you what she knows then.

Yes Davita, it was a perfect opportunity for further discussion, but the Brother-in-law was in the house so it could not happen. There are times when we are watching TV and a show will end and she will say, is there anything you want to put on. I always think of what I really want to tell her. One day. Thanks for everything.

Oh My Gosh, Olivia! Your dear wife is begging to open up the conversation. By comments in this post, you think she doesn't know you dress? She not only knows, she is flat out showing support and wants to help but doesn't want to embarrass you.

Suggest she dress you anyway she wants this weekend and I doubt she'll pick out pants first. I'll bet her brother knows also.

Olivia I think Eileen's female intuition is much stronger than any of the girls here. Heed what she is saying. I only wish my wife would drop hints like that so that I could come fully out of the closet and blossom into the woman I want to be.

The backstory (so far as I know) is that Olivia's wife does know because they've been shopping for clothes together. I believe that she was originally supportive but started rowing back at some point and became negative.

Hey everybody. First, Anthony is somewhat correct. She knows I have dressed and did pick out a dress and top that I modeled for her. One night asked to experiment with some make up and she refused. Another time asked about shopping while we were out. Again she refused. So she knows I like and want to CD, but does not know how I have progressed or the extent of my make-up or wardrobe. I really do hope that Eileen's women's intuition is correct and I will keep everyone posted. Thanks again.

A familiar story. A wife may seem supportive at first and then backs off, even hostile. At first it seems cute or amusing that her guy likes to wear a skirt, till she sees how much he really enjoys to do so. In her mind, you've changed. Self doubt sinks in, a wife will think she's not good enough as a partner. Another woman is in the relationship now and the husband might be a sexual freak.

With time to see that you've not really changed, and some good information on gender issues, a wife can find that her husband is a fun gal pal too.

Maybe, Olivia, your wife confided in her brother and found out he CD's also? Or he knew enough to alleviate her worst fears. Which ever, she is now giving you the OK to be more open. Go at her pace and try not to be over enthusiastic.
Now is a good time to ask about her feelings, before yours. Most CD's seem to be unsure of the 'why' of what they do, so let her steer the conversation.

So there's my comic book version of relationship wisdom.
