Hi All,
My wife and I have another (our 3rd) appointment with our
therapist, Dr. Ehardt tomorrow. Wish us luck!
Everything has gone real well in the previous two sessions, I just still
get a little nervous going. Having to talk about myself to a 3rd party
is unsettling a bit for me, I'm usually very quiet. So, this is a good thing.
anyways.....here I go!

sorry...that is Dr. Erhardt we go to see.
I was the one who suggested going in the first place as I was
looking for answers about me, and who I really am, and where do I fit
in the realm of it all.
My wife, bless her heart, is there for me throughout.

Hi JoAnn,
I think I would have a lot of trouble comming out to a third party , your braver than me.
Do you feel more relaxed in who you are after your sessions ?
Has it been a learning benifit for your SO ?

Joann,
My wife and I have been going for weekly for five sessions now. At her request. Anyway, on the first session again at my wife's request that I should tell him and I did, " I am a crossdresser - got a problem with that?"
I also told him I would be straight, up front and honest with him that I did not give any s..., I did not take any s..., I just was not in the s... business.
I won't go into all the positive things he has told my wife that crossdressing can do, my point ot you is to listen. If your wife is anything like mine she enjoys these visits and she will say things to "a third party" that she might not say to you even with you in the room right next to her!!!
Joann, take notes! I do. I am learning what she likes, doesn't like, how she feels about a lot of things, that my crossdressing does not bother her as long as she does not have to meet Deborah. Just the other day, she asked if I had some nail polish she could borrow - small steps honey, small steps. Listen and learn then share your gift with her and your relationship will really blossom!!!
Love,
Deborah

Deborah,
yes I try and listen as much as I can. Actually my wife does most of the talking during our two previous sessions!

Merinda,
we both seem to like the sessions...it really does help. But, my wife and I have done extensive talking to one another over the previous years. She really has no probs with JoAnn in any way shape or form, as long as I act my age, be respectful and act like a lady. Her biggest concern is a fear that I will someday tell her I want to have srs and go 24/7.

Thanks JoAnn ,
I suspect a lot of SO's would have similar fears.
