Is this the wrong place for me

I joined this forum when I was trying to be a full cd. Then went thought a time when my mother had past away and I was trying to keep what family I had. I did not feel that my kids or my sisters would understand me wanting to dress in a skirt or a dress all the time.
But then it just became to much for me so now I wear skirts and dresses every day even to work. Both my daughters are fine with it and two of my sisters said it is my life but there religion does not let then except my lifestyle but that they still love me. Have not talked to my son yet but my one sister said he was a very open minded person , that see did not see it being a problem. I go see him later in Sept.
I guess the difference I am trying to say is I do not try to look like a women but just dress in womens cloths.

I concur with Donna; There are many reasons and styles why people (male & female) cross dress. Personally I feel if it's not at the harm of others it's all good! Dress as you wish Bobbe :-)

Welcome Bobbe - you have found the exact right place
I am like you, I enjoy wearing women's fashions and shopping for cute clothes. But I know that I don't "pass" and I don't care. I don't actually identify much with either gender, I am just me and I hate feeling like I have to fit into some category.
So you don't have to explain yourself here, or meet any sort of definition. But of course we all love to hear a good story, and talk about clothes, so we hope you join in.

Now you did it, talked about clothes. I am on a low budget but like the goodwill for low price shirts and dresses. Just got a nice deal on a blue jean skirt for 3$ and love it. Have found a couple black skirts for my job there to.
Now as for as stories go, I have had only one bad one but a few funny ones. I came in to work to shop one day and one of the girls said O no Bobbe you can't wear that (I that the skirt) shoes with that skirt, lol my surprise.
Then a few days later while in line at work again to pay a bill, a lady said why you are wearing a dress. I said yes, don't you like wearing paints (she had on blue jeans at the time) she said well yes I do, turned back to front of the line and that was that.
So yes Ralitsa I will just be myself and let life fould out as it may.

yes, a budget is a problem that every girl must suffer
But don't worry, I guess there are more of us here that shop at goodwill and other thrift stores than at Saks, so you're in good company
I was just at GW yesterday, got a few cute tops there. Then went over to another thrift store and found exactly the sort of bathing suit I'd been looking for for a long time, and a few more tops, and a dress. But I never did find what I was really after, which is a small dresser. So it looks like I will just need to keep shopping until I do - poor me
Well I would stay and chat some more, but it's past noon here and the shops are now open. Gotta go!!!

Shopping is shopping whether it is at the GW Boutique or Nordstrom. Granted the clothes might be a bit different then again so are the prices! Besides the hunt for just perfect cute of shoes is half the fun.

Well maybe not half but retail therapy is part of being a girl!
Bobbe your initial question was is this the right place for you? Heavens yes! If you take the time to read the posts here you will find we are as varied a group as there is. We run the gambit from post ops to simply those who underdress. Jump in and join the crowd. Believe me there are a whole lot of sweet people here.

I am comfortable with my new outlet of my lifestyle OliviaM I am not to sure that some of the people I run into at work or around town are sure about me. But I have only had head jerks or stares, a few hey your wearing a dress but no bad language yet.
But I will just take it one day at a time and hope for the best.

Bobbe,
Sorry to hear about your hard times, as you remember I wasn't dressed to the hilt but no one gave me as hard way to go.
Hang in there girlfriend
