Hi Deb:

I have had some personal problems at home with my son and daughter. And have been a little low and not wanting to talk or type or what ever. It had nothing to do with CDing so I did not feel it belonged here. Been writing in my journal again. I been in the back ground but I just am not thinking straight right now. It helps knowing that someone noticed that I had not been as of late. Plus I was in Mississippi as of last weekend for a family reunion and will be going to Texas this coming Wednesday for my daughter surgery. Well I have to get ready for Church if I do not chicken out. Thanks a bunch, Deb Gee.

Deb thanks a million. Her's is just gallbladder laser surgery not much to it.

Please pray for my son, He has Nerve damage to his feet and lower legs and can hardly walk now. There is not much of a chance he will get any better either. I have had to take on his bills and everything else. He hurts all the time and falls alot. Can't hardly keep his own new daughter as you cant feel your feet when walking.

It makes my problem of learning about CDing so small. Plus I blame myself for alot of the problems he has. He has been a full diabetic since he was 8 and he is now 23. He is also ADDHD so it has been hard on him also. I wonder sometimes if I will have to bury him as I do not think he will she 35 at the pace it is going.

Oh Well I have been morbid enough. I need to get to studying as I have a course in my masters program I need to finish today plus clean the house. Gee Thanks for being here Deb.

*edit* OOps, sorry if I sem intrusive, or if you don't want me poking around in this area. I tend to get nosy on ADD/HD/ADHD stuff. ;-P *edit*

I'm sorry to hear bout your son's problems. 8-(

What kind of techniques does he use to supplement the medication (if any) that he takes for managing his ADHD? And is it really ADAH, or just HD or ADD( you can't image how often docs slap ADHD onto both of those and ascribe issues that simply don't exist. but ranting about ADHD mis-diagnosis is a rant for another time).

I have ADHD, the real deal. Attention AND hyperactivity. I used to take ritalin at the max dosage as a kid and it STILL barely slowed me down. ;) My mom went for a second degree in teaching when I was in highschool (Her first is history) on ADD/ADHD/HD teaching and management.

Maybe I can offer a bit of help for you and your son? I have learned enough tricks that I no longer need ANY artificial medications. (there are some things you can do to manage ADD and/or HD naturally and mentally).

I'm certain that you probably had PLENTY of info and advice tossed at you over the years by docs, friends, and other people already. So if you wanna chat, feel free to msg me directly for contact info. :)
Sig? What sig?
OH! THIS Sig! ;)

AHZZ:

Rich (my son) handles the adhd ok these days that is the least of his worries. He has enlarged heart and kidney problems on top of the Nerve in the feet problem that does not allow him to walk much. Plus a he has to deal with a gun=ho father that pushs toooo much.

Thanks for the offer Gee.

Hi Gelinda,

My thoughts are with you and your family. While Ahzz has personal experience with the ADHD, I have some knowledge of what your son is going through with his feet. As a result of surgeries my mother went through, she has much the same problem as your son. Thankfully it is only her left foot and leg thare affected. But, even at that, walking can be a challenge. She fell only just yesterday because she couldn't feel that her foot was up against an obsticle so she tripped over it.

Beyond that, she can't feel if she has stepped on something that may have punctured or cut her foot. She can't feel if she stubs her toe so she could break a bone and not know it. She has to be aware of every step she takes no matter where she is.

With a young child around the house it must be very difficult for your son.

There are things that happen in our lives that are beyond our control. All we can do is to work through those things the best we can. You are helping him through his difficulties and that is a wonderful thing. But you shouldn't feel responsible for causing them.

As Deborah said, we are here for you.
