... especially *if* it's about an issue of *great* interest to me 
Now ... if you don't mind ... I'm going to "pick on you" ... in a *Loving Way* ... I so admire your forthrightness !!! ... However, in *This* particular instance, I "feel" you're being hard on yourself ... *not intentionally* so much as "subconsciously" ...
when you say "beard" ... I think of the "female pirate" sitting on a chair under a flashy banner in a "freakshow" at the annual "carnival" ... you know ... * Come One Come All ... See The World's Only "Bearded Woman" * ...
My Dear Phylis Anne ... *You Are Such A Lady* ... you *may* have a small "facial hair" issue to deal with in pursuit of a *seemingly more feminine "visage"* ... but I *hardly* think you lack any *actual* "femininity" ...
