I would like to have a waist

With enough makeup, I could probably pass as a woman, although than is not my primary interest. I am 5'6", lightly built but with a small paunch, and have great legs (not very hairy, but shaved). I don't have much of a waist, and I have thought of getting some sort of girdle or cincher. I once tried an elastic band-like thing, but the top always rolled. I am looking for suggestions (mail or internet ordering) of sites to look in. The standard places (Penney, Sears, etc.) don't seem to have what I think I want. The cross-dressing sites emphasize the leathery, sexy stuff. One problem is that I am never sure what size to get: my hips are 44", my waist is 40" when relaxed, 37" when sucked in, and I usually fit a size 16 dress.
Any suggestions ladies? BTW, I am quite new here, and have yet to investigate all the nooks and crannies of this wonderful, friendly website.

Hi Willy!!!
I saw on ebay that they have a section called Waist Cincher. There are some of the sorta fetish stuff on there, but there are also undergarments made of lyrca and satin with what are called flexible bones (won't roll so easily) that can take up to 4 inches off your waist. You want to order by the size you want to be, so long as you don't go too tight, cause then they just don't fit around you. With a natural waist of 40, an XL size should give you a 36 or so. Cost looks to be around 15.00 to 25.00 USD.
There are also corsets under that search, most of which would do the same but lace up, and are longer. They do look nice, and of course you have to sift through the leather things on there, but it is not bad. I think I recall a price of about 35.00 to 40.00 USD on those.
Then on the net, you can find corsetiers that make them to order in several varieties, and of course cost more (150.USD +).
Hope that helps.

Hi Willy,
You might find this link helpful...
At least you can get some ideas of what is available to create a slimmer figure.

Thanks - especially to Wendy. That link is a rich source of ideas. I just have to be careful as to size.

Willy, I bought a waist cincher a Sears in june for about $18.00, I went to the counter and asked for help. ( feeling very brave that day.) they were so very nice. Walmart also has a lot of body contouring ,foundation type stuff, but no help there ever, then you also have to walk through the whole store with your purchase, I like that part though, some don't............Kristen
