Where I am at.

My masculine and feminine sides are complete opposites. I was rasied in an Irish catholic family(catholic guilt). I felt completely like a freak growing up and having this side of me. I don't know if I over-compensated because of this, or if its just me. I am your typical whisky drinkin, mechanical bull riding, cowboy guy. I wrestled in high school, I was a diesel truck mechanic for 8 years. I have a fairly muscular bodym and really, I enjoy being a guy till a girl rips my heart out and stomps me. But give me some time alone, I become Laura. She wears 4" black strappy heels. Stockings with the seam up the back. Short mini skirt, and a nice black satin blouse, or a black satin top. Merriwidow or bra. I love the shapewear. I have lots of lycra to hold in the bulges and give me some form. Oddly enough most everything I own is black and satin, dunno where that came from. I have a few other color things, but those were donations by kind SO's, who either outgrew or damaged them, and donated them to the cause ;). But when I am dressed as a woman, I think the clothes are VERY feminine. I wear what I would find extremely attractive on a woman if I was looking at her. I have a thing, as I said, for black satin, and long blonde hair. I recently purchased a wig, but have yet to really wear it. I have done makeup maybe 3 times in my life. Its not that I don't like it, its just a lot of work, and the benefit I get from it makes it not so worth it. And, like tonight, I had just gotten myself dressed, then my bro-in-law calls me and says he will be over in a little bit. He has no idea. Only my parents know amoungst my family. (oh yea are they proud :| ). Anyway, I am back in normal "guy" clothing and waiting for him to show.

There is one thing I will add. Even as a guy, I can't say the feminine me doesn't affect me. When I am in a relationship. I am very very, tender, concientious, thoughtful, romantic, etc. More than any guy I know. So Laura does bring me a lot of good qualities.

One more thing

I have to say it really sucks when you are not a really good looking guy, and an even worse looking woman. Where else is there to go?

Hi Laura,

Before I came out of the closet my male personna was a typical alpha male construction worker to the outside world. However, I never went out with the boys. I have been a boss since I was 22 and never felt comfortable drinking or spending time with those who work for me, because the friendship always gets intruded upon, at work.

I don't really drink except the occaision strawberry margarita. I hate working on cars and only do so when forced to. I am not good at any sport, so I don't like going to play softball, or golf. I find Chess to be a tool to prove ones masculinity, that holds no account. I just have a hard time being a guy.

So, while I portrayed being the typical alpha male, in reality I was no were near that.

Conversly, I shave my legs and body everyday. I put on my makeup before I leave my bedroom in the morning. I polish my nails almost daily. I prefer dresses and skirts to pants, but wear pants more than I wear dresses or skirts.

Intellectually I am the same person no matter what I am wearing now. So I my male and female side are very close, so that is what I answered.

Love always,
Elizabeth

I seem to be different from those here. Not a new thing for me. All I ask is that you accept me for me. I am a man's man, and a woman's woman. I was just curious. Please feel free to answer the poll honestly.

Growing up, my religion (Catholic) didn't affect my attitude any. Played all kinds of sports. Skinny as a rail. Was the fastest kid in the area (running and swimming). Could climb like a monkey. I was a shy kid, quiet, listened more than I spoke, well liked by most of the adults that knew me. But, if attacked, I never lost a fight (except to my older brother, but learned how to win).

A little more outgoing now and getting better at talking in front of a crowd  . No longer skinny, done went the other way on that one (blame it on the good life of getting married)

Fem side I think is average, depending I guess on what average is. :^o

I like feminine and sexy outfits, but not over the top. If I were a gg, I'd need another floor on the house for the clothes I'd buy. I don't think I'd even consider wearing pants, being a leg man I love to show off my legs, especially in heels. Well, maybe fem side is a bit more than average. ##oo##

I talked a little about this in a previous thread:

For the most part, I really dont have too much of a personality change when I am en femme. So I voted "Masculine and Feminine are very close". :)

LOL, My femme side is very femme and my boy side is very masculine in how I walk and act, but I can see more of my femme side coming out n my boymode, like obviously long nails make you hold things a bit more femme and also I'm walking around the flat a lot on tiptoes more then normal :)

So I guess they are becomming more and more the same which is nice :) In terms of mentally, I have always been femme I guess. Like very emotional, cry at films and stuff, and care a lot about others feelings. In terms of sexual, I have never been bothered about sex at all, all relationships I have had I've just rather cuddle and kiss to be honest.

Steve - twenty years playing local league soccer, drinking with the lads, loves cute little furry animals and cries at movies and sad stories on the news.

Amanda Louise - much younger than Steve, giggly, late teens, loves pretty clothes and makeup, occassionally finds it hilarious when she belches or (ahem) 'makes a bad smell' ... especially when told off by Cathy(SO) for unladylike behaviour.

I think my masculine and feminine sides are pretty close, and that's how I voted.

My aim is to have no femme side to my personality, no male side to my personality ... just 'my personality'. One person who acts/reacts in the same way whatever clothes I happen to be wearing. Hope that makes sense!

Initially my masculine and feminine sides were complete opposites.

But there are certain characterstics I am proud to incorprate into Lorna - strength, assertiveness, self-reliance...

And there are certain personality traits that my male side needed from Lorna - listening skills, sensitivity and what have you.
Live it. Love it. OWN IT.
