Hi girls ,
Last month I was down and out over the issue of meeting other CDs at social functions but now my confidence has returned .
On Tuesday (en-drab) I met with the lovely lady that organized the event last month and we had a good chat , I also met Sarah from another forum site who was also en-drab and we had a good discussion on clothing.
Today I met up with Jan W who was in Melbourne for the day , we had a fantastic discussion and we seem to have very similar ideals (ethics) .
Both en-drab , Jan had some bussiness to attend then we visited a TG clothing shop in the suburb of Mentone.
Jan was purchasing some gear for an upcomming outing and I had a look through the stock , there was a young guy phoned up the shop from outside and asked when the two men were leaving , he eventually came in when the saleswoman said that the two men were doing exactly the same thing as you are.
I've had a busy and enlightening week , I now have the confidence to attend the next social event without hitting the panic button.

Hi Merinda,
I always enjoy hearing how you're growing. I applaud you for getting out to a store and taking steps to regain confidence or whatever you want to call it.
That was a very interesting story. The phone caller reminds me of how I would have been years back.
You're doing great! Did you find out about any other events?

Hi Beauty ,
The big day out is February 13 which is a TG get-together , there was mention of another dinner to be organized very soon.
We were discussing my schoolgirl photos when the organiser thought that maybe we should have a schoolgirl theme night , I wont miss that one if it eventuates.
Anita ,
I want to thank you for you suggestion about meeting CD's en-drab first up , it has worked my confidence up and now I should have no problems going to a social event as Merinda next week.

Merinda,
Going out is such a rush, but going to a meeting with others is just delicious! You feel much more comfortable and mostly get support from the others, however like any "hen party" there can be those detractors, but we learn to over look them and just do our thing! Have fun girlfirend and tell us all about it, what you wore, where you went, what you saw. Rock and Roll!

it now less than 24 hours away ,
I will be starting the day with a photosession out the front of the venue or carpark , Jan W has agreed to take the photos and I will do the same for her.
I am at ease this time so I wont get stage fright , I will start a new post after the event to let you know how it went.

Merinda,
I am so happy for you. sounds like you are taking it at your own pace. And I chatted JanW on flashchat and she is just a wonderful person. I am glad youv are feeling so good about things. Also these are difficult things to do. Please be kind to yourself and don't get angry at yourself if you have other setbacks. It's all just a part of it. Good luck with your outting. I look forward to hearing all about it.
Love always,
Elizabeth

Got the batteries charged in that camera? Got film/memory for it?
Got a white string tied to your finger so you won't forget the camera?
We don't want any excuses for not having pictures now, hear!?
Have a FUN time!

In my handbag are , 1 instamatic camera with about 18 exposures left , a spare film and a spare set of batteries.
Also 1 digital camera set at 20 photos at the highest resolution.
I will be meeting Jan W in the venue carpark in about an hour and a half to do the first lot of photos , then we will make our way into the venue
I am sitting here fully dressed other than my shoes.
you may have to wait to see the photos as this is a family computer and my time on here is limited but I will post them as soon as I get a chance.
