Women face it, and now so do we:
As we get older, we wither gain weight or loose it. Our bodies change shape.
I used to be a size 12 and squeezed into 10s. Now I'm a 14 and squeeze into 12s.
It makes it hard to keep a wardrobe as those favorite items, that took money & courage to buy, don't fit!
I have sold a couple of things at a consignment store, dumped a couple others. I tell myself that the smaller things fit better on those occasions where the corset comes out.
Anyone else have changing size woes?

Reflecting on my past, I agree with what you've said.
In my younger years I could fit into my mom's dresses and pants without any problems. As I got older, these articles of clothing ceased to fit properly anymore, and I began to stretch the clothing more and more.
I remember when I could wear a size 38 bodyshaper without any problems. But now, I have to find a size 42 to be comfortable. I can squeeze into a 38, but after an hour it becomes very uncomfortable.

I've lost about 60 lbs Since August, so yes and no.
Most of the things I have were too small already, because I bought them the last time a lost 40 lbs. So, I've managed to shrink enough to wear them comfortably.
I noticed the other day, however, that one of my favorite skirts will soon be too big.

I guess so far I am lucky, I did drop down to a lighter weight class several months ago, but my strenght went down considerably, so I have gone back up to my normal weight class. Fortunatley most of the clothes I bought were at the "normal weight class" so it all worked out. Speaking of werking out that seems to help me maintain my "girlish" figure. Lots of ab work too!!!!!

Changing sizes
It's a problem Anne, as I like to cook and I love to eat, although I don't drink alcohol, I do exercise and eat healthy so that helps, but of course some of my weight gain problems are due to the hormone medications, so no matter what I did I couldn't stop some weight gain as physical changes took place.
I've gone from a 10 through to 14 the last few years, but it seems to be stabalising for some time now, but I have to work at it, not just because of the expense of having to buy better fitting clothes, but it feels uncomfortable being over a 12 in summer. I do spend most of my time in very casual clothes as I love to be comfortable rather than dressy, but then for me it's not mostly about the clothes. I've never worn a girdle or a corset and don't ever wish to, they do look to be very uncomfortable garments, especially in our warm climate here, it's bad enough having to wear a bra in the heat.
I think it's one of natures little problems she bestows on us all. My wife was an 8 when we were married, but after having children and due to the passing of time now she's a 14 and loving it. lol...
Kind Regards.
Sally.

Watch nature, because it’s our greatest teacher, it moves and flows and moves on again. We can never be free until we disengage, so allow life to flow as you find it. The way it is, is the way it is.

Hi Anne,
Great thread!
I've gone from an 16-18 two or three years ago to a 14 now. I was almost 12, but I think my natural size is 14 so I stopped fighting.
My goal is to stay in those lovely 12s, but there's enough of a selection at size 14.
To Sally's point, I do love to eat. So it's kind of a pain in the butt to always say no to everything. If I know there's going to be something where I'm going out, then I usually do my best to watch my eating for a few weeks.
I've often heard CD'ing can inspire weight loss. I know it's true in my case and you can see from some of the posts here, maybe it's true?

Well Beauty, I hope the inspiration comes to me too.
During both pregnancies of my wife, I "supported" her by also adding some weight, so my waiste raised about 3 inches. We both struggle with it.
As a man I do not mind so much. I am not completely out of shape, so I could stand it.
But as a woman - no no, the proportions are not right. For nice small breasts (I would prefer cup B), the waist is too big - it looks like small bumps above a big bulge. To get closer to right proportions, I would need cup D breasts, commercial breast forms are either ugly or expensive and selfmade breast forms mostly shapes like a ball.
Female me would really love to get back to the weight she had 10 years ago. But eating can be such a pleasure. So far I agree with you - CDing inspired me to loose weight, but actually this did not cause any actions. Some day...
Hugs,
Jabbela
