FIRST SHAVE..
Well today I decided to try out shaving my legs... Well 2 1/2 hours later and all the wonderful help I could get from Sinjoy.. And I all have to say is...
To all the GG's of the world, I AM SORRY.. for years I contested that shaving my face was much more difficult then shaving legs.. I WAS WRONG.... It's a different feeling for sure... and after I put on my nylons and pants I could feel every little breeze and touch like it was 10 times stronger.. and for anyone attempting this for the first time, might I make a suggestion... LISTEN TO YOUR GF/WIFE/ANY WOMEN YOU KNOW.. They have been doing this for a lot longer and know what they are talking about... So after hours of shaving and shaving, then shaving some more (I am 6'3", was like shaving a giraffe), I am hair less up to my belly button (minus a private area).. I think I like the way it feels but I am told that when it starts to grow back in, I will be in for a not so fun time... Any way just needed to share...

i tryed full body waxing, sept for the brazilian, <im not insane rofl> and the ingrown hairs drove me mad!!!! I am quite hairymy chest, and tummy hair grows in about 10 different directions, so waxing that is out of the question, this time im trying shaveing my legs, but i dont lie it very much,i have to shave em about ever other day, its still cold here in canada, and when i get a draft my leg hairs stand straight out, its the most uncomphy feeling i ever felt, the first day is ok but once the hairs start growing, goose bumps have a whole new meaning lol, so i think ill just shave my chest and tummy and wax my legs, if i ask Charlie nicely enough maybe she can wax my hairy bottom for me lol

Well I am lucky in that I have very little hair on my body.. Absolutely no chest or back hair.. Thin patchy leg hair... But you are right.. When it starts to grow back it's not the most enjoyable feeling... But not too bad.. I did however find a few bruises that I didn't even know I had???

If you let it grow back try this - get one of the nylon bath scrubbers now sold (or a loofah) and go over your legs once a day in the shower to get skin off a boit. Follow with moisturizer lotion to let the skin heal. I have had very little problem after my winter shave growing it back (although I didn't want to grow it back
)
Using Aveeno Positively Smooth as the lotion also keeps the growth lighter - recommended.

Hi Jean,
Congrats on your first shave.
I do my best to shave all the time now, but I sometimes don't, but mostly I do. Razor stubble legs stink when cuddling at night.
I think Anne's suggestions are perfect for proper care of legs that have been shaved. No loofa has equaled bumps for me, even though no hair is there. So make sure to loofa and moisturize (not just you Jean, but to anyone who shaves their legs or is considering it)

I shaved my whole body recently for the first time. Clothes feel much nicer on a smooth body but my hair regrows very quickly so I have to shave every day. This weekend I will be working away from home and have to share a room with another bloke. What am I going to say if he notices my hairless body? I have not shaved for 4 days but am not hairy.

Jean,
I've used the Neet for Men and it works as advertised, if you can get past the unpleasant aroma. Try it on a small area first to make sure that you don't have any reaction to it (it's fairly potent stuff) and don't leave it on too long. I prefer to keep shaved on a regular basis, as opposed to using it, but if you need to remove hair over large areas, it has its uses.
Take Care,
Angie

Hi Jean,
Congrats on your first shave! Even though I've only been dressing out in public regularly since 1998, I've been shaving my legs since 1993.
As for depillatory creams, it's just like Angie said. If you can deal with the aroma, it leaves your legs feeling SO smooth...

Shave and if he says anything, which I doubt, just tell him you really really hate body hair. That it makes you feel dirty all the time.Ms Jane wrote:I shaved my whole body recently for the first time.
