Tough times

You know ladies we all have our crosses to bear! I know a lot of us read the posts here and many times I have sat here crying like a baby at some or the trials and tribulations that our sisters have gone through and I guess, I thank whatever powers that be that I have been fortunate enough to have maintained some symbolance of sanity in my own life. I have on many occassions wanted to jump on a plane and fly to various places and just hug a sister who was really struggling at times. This site has been for me and I know a lot of others, a real God-Sent!!!!!
I just want you to say a brief prayer for my friend, Brandi. If you are ever struggling with your own cross and think the entire weight of the world in coming down on you - let me tell you, I have been around for quite a while, I have seen a lot and done a lot, good and bad, but girls, you have no clue until you know what this girl has and is going through!
It is not my place to share it with you, but take it from me, I doubt most of us could have survived what she had and has to deal with. I want to cry for her, but her trials and tribulations are so far beyond my simple mind to absorb all I can do is stare in wonder at her!!!
She started a new job, in a warehouse several of her co -workers had fans at there work stations. She asked her supervisor if she could bring a fan or would they provide one for her -"I'll think about it" was the reply. Yesterday it hit 90 here and had to be 100 + in the wearhouse. Her supervisor was not in, so she went to the Human resourses dept with another request! They fired her for insubordination!! That is just a small sample of what seems to happen to her constantly. She was making $60,000.00 a year as an auto mechanic and was fired when they found out she intended to transistion M to F. Talk about keeping the faith!!
I am tring to help her get enough money together for her SRS in November. The Dr. keeps coming up with additonal medical things that need to be done prior to the surgery, but we are going to get it done if I have to sell my first born! - uh that's a joke, but you know what I mean.
I don't mean to philosophize, but as we travail this veil of tears called life, I think we are all affored the opportunity to help out a fellow traveller. Some of us ignore the opportunity, some of us don't even recognize it as an opportunity and some of blunder throught it as best we can and just hope and pray it benefits someone!
PLEASE, I am not seeking sympathy or anything like that I just want to make the statment that we have a gift (yes, I firmly believe that our CD'ing is a gift) and from the nurturing aspect of the female perspective, we should share it!
I love you all, for all you do!
May God shed Her blessing on all of you!
Love,
Virginia

Hi Vvirginia,

Yes, I agree that we should all stop at some time to help a fellow human being. One of the things that make humans unique among the animal kingdom is that we will share our food with strangers. This has proved to be a great boon to our species and helped to make us such a strong species.

My point? Well..... it is in our nature to help our fellow human beings. Sometimes its food, sometimes it's a ride somewhere and sometimes it's just letting someone know we can feel thier pain and we want them to get better.

Kudos to you my sister for reaching out a helping hand. I don't feel this is something out of the ordinary for you and can speak from my own first hand experience about the empathy and support I have recieved from you and my other sisters here. It does make a difference.

While I don't know Brandi, but I certainly know how it feels to have the cards fall against me and how it can change how you feel about things when you hear the words of a caring sister telling you to hang in there and that things will get better. They do!!!!!

Tell Brandi that even though she don't know me, I am pulling for her and know that things will get better for her.

Love always,
Elizabeth

Thanks Elizabeth, if there is an icon on this site it is you!!! As I have said before, I have watched your transistion and you realize how fortunate you are to have, shall I say, "found yourself" and now with Raven, I am soooo happy for you and the picture of the wedding was GREAT!!!! Now a word of caution, she mentioned a Ninja motorcycle?! I am not saying she could not handle one, hell, she probably has you on a short leash and that is quite an accomplishment :) :) :) . The more I think about it she probably could handle a Ninja!!!
Love ya,
Virginia

Hi,

First LOL about Raven and the Ninja. :)

Secondly though, I'm sorry for your friend and I pray that things will be better for her soon. [-o< She has a prayer answered already because you're there.

Take care.
