I'd like ya'lls opinion
First of all I know I'll get a wide range of views on this one but that's cool as that is why I'm here. I desperately want to go out in public but my problem is that I am no where passable. I have short hair, a mustash and a beer gutt. I do shave my legs and under arms. I can't loose the mustash until after September for legal reasons. I have a trial to participate in. There are several alternative clubs in the Nashville area that I feel would be comfortable in. My question is .... would it be too bazar for me to dress in hose, heals and a blue jeans skirt with an nice mens dress shirt and my wife and I go to one of tese places for dinner? She and I have matching skirts and I thought these would be OK. All we would do is go for dinner as this would be my first time out and hers' too. I have too keep her in mind on this idea and I do not wish to overwelm her. I have talked this idea over with her and she doesn't know what to expect and is scared. She is afraid someone might try to start trouble or something. I do not believe in fighting as I feel that belongs on a battlefield or in a ring. Also I do not wish to offend anyone such as another CD or etc. Now please be honest as you will not offend me as I'm too old to worry about that. I've adopted an attitude that if you don't put food on my table or money in my pocket then your opinion is just that and you do have a right to your opinion and I have a right to agree or dis-agree. But I don't wish to offend anyone else and I also don't wish to cause my wife any greef. I really hope that everything turns out differently and that we feel so comfortable that we stay and do some dancing and have a great time. We've all got dreams, right? OK, give it too me stright. I'm ready!!!

Hi Joe,
.
You mention you would be comfortable in several clubs. That's the key I think. If you're comfortable, then it does not matter about the moustache or anything else. You seem to think you will have a good time; so go for it. When you talk, you could just explain to the people there the way you summarized it here (about the legal reasons). If you decide to go, have fun!

Well Joe it is not that often some one steps up to the plate and asks for it like you have.
Two comments: If you have already waited this long in life where is the problem with waiting until after September, and getting rid of the moustache? Why the need to push it?
And second don’t push your wife to the point that you turn her against you. Let her arrive there at her chosen speed. (Which; may be never.) If that turns out to be the situation, be prepared to accept it.

I'll probably wait
Thanks ya"ll. I think that I'll probably just wait as you all suggest and as for pushing my wife, that won't happen believe me, not her!
