I'm not sure if I should have posted this here..or in "fun stuff". But some of you know I'm a caregiver, and its gotten more intense in the last few months. Sigh..so I haven't been able to get out as much as I would like.... but dammit...I did last night. Granted..I look like David Letterman in drag, but i had fun..it was sooooo fantastic to get out again! I posted a few pics..be kind with your comments. remember..I'm an old gal

I think you look terrific!!!!! Hope you don't mind me posting your pic.

Love always,

-------------------------------------

Elizabeth,

I had decided to edit out DeeDee's photo in order to protect her privacy. While this section of the forum is viewable by the general public (even non-members), such is not the case with the gallery. DeeDee got in touch with me, giving assent to her photo appearing here, so I'll keep the photo in the body of Elizabeth's message. Perhaps, from now on, it would be best not to provide direct links to photos on the gallery. Still (and DeeDee agrees with this), that was a sweet gesture of you, Elizabeth.

For the record, I agree with Elizabeth: DeeDee, you look smashing! 8)

Love,
CJ

Thanks for the kind comments. It was just over two years ago that I made my first post here....concerning my nervousness about attending my group's Cristmas party...in public. The support I got was sooo positive and it did help me. Those pictures are of me on my way to my THIRD holiday party (btw...black is a Christmas color this year). So thanks to everyone on this forum for being so supportive for me, and for everyone. And btw Elizabeth..that was a very nice thought (hugs).

Dee Dee, Honey you look great and your smile - wow! You know what we say, that smile will get you a lot more places than a frown!
The lady I take care of spent four days in the hospital and I well I guess I have become her family as I was there with her ---- well a lot!
What was strange was the hospital of course provides in-house transportation to the front door when you are discharged, so I went along with the guy. I have to tell you what he said. He said I was such a nice person, that most of the care-givers he has to deal with are really mean to him! He was so happy that I actually even spoke to him and helped him get "my charge" out of her bed and into the chair.
Is that weird or what?? I was just being me and being nice to him and for him to say that most caregivers are rude to him ?! I don't get it!
Anyway, keep the faith girlfriend!
Love you,
Virginia

What you said was interesting, Virginia. I think if I never wore a dress or met Dee (third party stuff..sorry) I would have been compassionate for others. Funny..I think most people have it in them, but somehow suppress it. I get the same reaction as you from the doctors...darn...you're doing a good job. My sister, after i told her about Dee said 'that explains a few things' such as why I was always there for family. Not true..its just the way we are. Another random thought..put badly
