Thinking about wearing a bra

Having worn panties on an everyday basis for some time the experience had become mundane. As I had hoped panties had become just underwear.

So, I have now started wearig a bra everyday. After 2 weeks I am finding the experience is different than panty wearing. One makes more of a commitment when wearing a bra everyday.

In some ways I am more emotionally involved in wearing women's clothing than before. Bra wearing is making me think differently and is propelling my crossdressing to unknown levels.

My wife is accepting. When doing the laundry she folds my bras and puts them away with my panties.

Has anyone else felt the transforming nature of bra wearing?

Will you recommend some bras you've found comfortable? The style you describe sound great.
Like you I wear white dress shirts to work.
Today I am wearing a Valmont bra that I bought at "Just my size web site."
Actually it's part of a nice bra and panty set.

Having worn a bra for just a few weeks I have no desire to go back.
What has your experience been after 6 months?

I can relate to what you said about panty wearing as an alternative to purging.

Dot, I am not able to find the style bra you described. Let me ask you, were you wearing a wonderbra that increased your cup size?
I would very much like to be wearing a bra that increases my cup size a bit without being overly noticable.

I have tried on bras not a big fan of them on me. After putting one on and wearing it for a little while (my sister was not home) I decided that it was not for me. For the record it was a sports bra.

Hi Danielle,

Well because of your post I decided to try it yesterday. I wore a bra all day at work. It felt really cool. My shirt wasn't too tight and I wore a t-shirt and my the shirt I wore was dark, so you couldn't see it. Like a GG I also took it off the moment I undressed from work clothes.

I am going to try to see if I can do it for a week. I do have to tell you though, I would prefer a sports bra over the kind I wore yesterday. It felt GREAT and all, but the straps kept falling.

The bras I have are for a C cup and I'd like to get some that are for an A cup.

Thank you Dot and Julie Miller for posting this. Back in March I didn't have anything to say about it. So that's why I didn't respond then.

Does anyone else occasionally wear a bra? I do feel like it is a little odd to lots of women and sort of tabu here.

I too am getting ready to purchase a bra. I'm thinking about a trainer to wear at work under my shirt/tie. I do wear panties/hose/cami most days. I find they are much more comfortable than male undergarmets.

Hi all,

Yes, I've also worn bras on a regular basis, usually along with panties and pantyhose, as this is how I usually underdress. The longest I've ever done so is about three consecutive weeks, wearing it every day. At some point, I have to abstain because we engage in physical activities and exercise with clients on a fairly regular basis. It would not do to have my Daisy Fresh show beneath my volleyball T-shirt, no, no, no, not at all!

The best bras to wear, as far as underdressing goes, are ones with smaller cups (they don't bulge out as much) and whose cups are made of a thinner, unadorned nylon. Lace edges, inserts, and panels tend to be visible. Also, make sure that it's not an underwire bra and that its cups aren't "molded." Support bras are to be avoided, if you can, as their shoulder straps tend to show through more easily--they "ridge" your shoulders and the sides of your chest. Underwires, too, can become uncomfortable after a while. Of course, you might also want to limit yourself to bras of a colour that matches your shirt (preferably, as Beauty said, you'll be wearing a fairly loose shirt).

Bras can be fairly expensive and--as with any undergarment--there's no real possibility of trying it before you buy it. My suggestion is to introduce yourself to the world of well-fitting bras by spending a dollar or two on those you find in the thrift shops; they're cheap and, should they fit you poorly, you can discard them. The dollar you spent is the cost of finding out what fits you and what doesn't. Once you have a better idea of the size and style you prefer, and that suits you best, you can go out there, to the actual department stores and pick out what you need that you can call your very own.

Beauty, I didn't know bras were a bit of a taboo subject.

You mean, with the SOs? Why would this be? Any ideas?

I'd definitely give it a whirl. And yes, sports bras are 100x more comfortable! It's the underwire that digs into my skin after an extended period of time... ouch!

I've worn panties and pantyhose under male clothes quite often without even giving it a second thought. In fact, when I was working as a financial analyst 3 years ago, I did wear pantyhose under my suit to that interview. I got the job!!

Maybe it's good luck for me to do that. If only it weren't so hot...

Anyway, I remember watching a movie where a politician was wearing lacy lingerie under his suit. Every time someone walked out of his office & he was finally alone he would close his eyes, reach under his suit and run his hands over his chest. LOL!!!

Hi Y'all,

Being retired and spending a great deal of time at home, I often wear a bra. I am large and way to heavy for my own good

but I have found a large B cup bra is good for me. I do wear them out often but not if I am going to be around a lot of people since it does make me show quite a bit. In fact, I have not worn forms for a long time. What I have is me. At my age, it is not unusual for a man, particularly a heavy man, to have breasts. If it shows, I just don't worry about it. If someone doesn't like it, tough.

At the same time, to be caught wearing a bra would not be cool.

I wear bras quite regularly and often wore them to work. A tip I found somewhere quite some time ago was that nude color bras are virtually invisible under a white shirt. Any other color will contrast against your skin and will show through, including white. I have tried this and, as long as the shirt isn't too snug, allowing the outline to be seen, the nude bra really can't be seen through the white shirt. But an undershirt is still recommended though not necessarily essential.

Also, as others have said, smaller cup size and non-padded is a must. And the underwire really is a pain and not to be done long term without forms.

Aside from my regular, full breast forms, I also have a pair of silicone add-a-cup forms with nipples molded into them. I think I got them from JC Penney catalog. I just spent the entire day with those in a nude A-cup bra under my white T-shirt. The shirt being one size larger than I normally wear has enough slack to prevent the outline from showing.

I even went into town to do errands and grocerie shopping and nobody even gave me a second glance. Even though every time I saw my reflection, I could see the breast bulges.

Yes, I meant taboo with the SOs.
