Lately I have been on an internal debate to shave off my beard (it is goate)
This is about what it looks simular to but a little thicker. I have had it for so long I do not know if I have the will power to shave it off. And I also may a young complexion.
Has any one ever had these feelingsof not knowing what to do aout something they have done for so long and am unsure about change.

I'm a Buddhist, and so I should know better, Jessie; but resistance to, and fear of, change are probably my biggest obstacles. :| If circumstances hadn't prompted me to shave it off, I'd probably
still be agonizing over whether to keep my facial hair.

Fortunately, a beard-trimming mishap kind of made the decision for me quite a while before my current
Adventures in Gender.
If it's any help, remember that beards grow back--just shaving them doesn't amount to any kind of permanent change. Let us know how it goes.
Yours,
Celia

Oh boy hon, have I ever!
I had facial hair for a decade before making the bold decision to cut it off in order to dress publicly. Change can be a very intimidating factor, but change is good. Go for it!

Worse comes to worst you can always grow it back.
BTW... has anyone told you that you bear a striking resemblance to Andre Agasi?
j/k...

I wanted to ask everyone (as I get closer to my VK) I am thinking of shaving the beard off while I am gone. The is usauly a time to reeavaulate my image and I have thought of changing mine to see what will happen.
What do you think?

Jessie,
Since you asked what we think, here is this bleached blonde's not original answer:
Go for it and shave it off - give yourself a new image.
I decided to remove my mustache/goatee and everyone said that I looked better/younger.
Give it a chance for a while and if you don't like it, you can let it grow back.
Whichever you decide, have a nice vacation and enjoy your new digicam.

Hi, Go for it! As everyone said, if you give it a month and don't like it, you can let it grow back. I shaved my 'stash off 10 years agon and never looked back!

Hi Jessie,
Keeping my mustache and goatee on kept me safe from my CD'ing feelings.
There is no way that I would dress without shaving. I took on another hobby that helped that some (ask via PM), but it was too cumbersome, so I finally made the life choice to shave.
After I started doing that I realized this face -->

<-- because after I would shave my skin would become irritated. When hair would break through my skin it would get incredibly damaged and little heat bumps would occur. I went to a dentist appointment once and the dentist put on gloves because she thought it was something else.

I explained it to her assistant and her assistant says, "That sounds like what happens to a woman's skin."
So that's why I took the next step, laser (because of the bumps, not because of the dentist). Now I don't really ever shave. (one area hasn't seen a razor 'electic' in over a month).
Hmmm... lol.. you just wanted to know if you should shave or not. :: wipes off fellow readers :: Sorry everyone didn't mean to spew on you about more than the topic at hand.
Yes Jessie. Shave it off.

The beautiful thing for you is, it will grow back!
