A funny thing happened on the way to the Forum

subtitle: misc ramblings
Well, I rebooted my PC earlier this week and it went PFFFT...power supply, but took a few days to replace it. Kinda funny in a way to not have internet for a few days, especially this place. On to rambling....its been quite an eventful 6 months for me, having met an SO that not only knows about DeeDee, but likes me as such. She likes me no matter how I'm presenting myself, which drives home something Beauty (Gracie)said to me a long time ago. She always seemed steamed when someone said "in girl mode" or similar. Its just dawned on me that she was right because I'm DeeDee no matter how I'm dressed and attire doesn't make the personality. But it took my SO to help me understand that. All my life I avoided long term relationships because of who I am and was so afraid to wind up ruining it when DeeDee HAD to re-emerge ...which I knew would happen. Having an SO that knows and understands has let me drop my "shields" and just enjoy someone with no fears of rejection and hurt. Sorry...I'm rambling but guess the point is.....there is somebody for everyone. When I smile in my pictures..its not just a pose....I really am happy now
sorry for babbling
Hugs

DeeDee:

Ain't it great?! =D> SL makes me feel the same way, and I also agree with you that you are who you are 24/7. To find someone that accepts you for who you are is one thing but to have that someone enjoy being with DeeDee and having fun with you, well that is kind of the "icing on the cake." I"ll bet you have very much the same discussions that SL and I have, girl to girl and it is wonderous!!!!

Hope you can get your SO to join the forum and share with us as well!

Love ya, Oh, and keep it warm - we may need to come for a visit this winter.

Virginia

PS: Can you wear the same clothes? That is also a bonus! :P

Hi there Dee Dee,

It sure is great that your new SO doesn't mind her new guy presenting as a girl.

Congratulations.

That is just the best thing, DeeDee, and I'm so glad that you've gotten someone like that into your life. It takes some work to maintain the relationship, but it seems to take less energy to get through life, is my experience of being with someone else. Even with friends around, a single person struggles very hard to maintain their life--work, home, social life, and so on.

Two people being together lightens the load on both of them. I have a beginning relationship with a TG woman that I've known for some time, and she also accepts all sides of me. I wasn't looking for someone like that, but it is very nice to experience. So keep working with your SO, and may the two of you go hand-in-hand upward and onward!

That's great Hon

Hi Dee Dee.
You lucky girl you! Wish you ladies the best. I have to get back to work. My idiot Boss never gives me a day off.

Love
Auntie Jeannie

PS. Hey DeeDee. Does she have a sister? Hugs.

Anita, thats great! I wish you the best. Its funny how things sorta happen when we least expect them. And yes, normal life takes its toll, but its amazing what can happen when we can drop some shields (no offense to the starships). There are so many people out there, its just a shame we often walk right by them without knowing that they could be the one for us. Its just life.
And Jeannie.....yummy..went to a triess potluck meeting this weekend and we made dinner franks....luckily they weren't that popular, so I get major yummies for a bit. Decadent..yes..but so? Also..your boss needs to lighten up...time for a shopping spree for her
