I've not been out much dressed up, but I love it! My gothic appearances have been virtually identical, so not much to tell, but probably my night as a gothic vampiress has been my most feminine appearance, certainly one of my most fun nights out. I've worn fishnet stockings/armwarmers, black nail varnish, panda eyes with a white face. I want to get my black nail varnish as shiny as possible, so with practice, I'll have to put on a base coat, apply the varnish, then a top coat, but leave each coat to dry for a while before and after applying the colour, as otherwise it smudges, and the longer my nails, the better, especially for a vampiric appearance!Kay wrote:Hi Crystyna

Thanks for also for your explanation of what an SO is. It's good to see GGs, SOs and TGs combined on the forums.SilverLady(SO) wrote:Hi, Crystyna, and welcome to the Forum!
True, but at our forum "SO" indicates the person is a Genetic Girl ("GG") and the relationship is more serious in nature, such as wife, long-term partner, or fiancee, while the "GG" tag generally indicates a less-committed relationship, such as a girlfriend or best friend to a CD.Michelle Miller wrote:"SO" stands for "Significant Other", a wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend, fiance', etc. in someone's life. It's a generic catch-all phrase.
Have a great day!

When I can find more time, I shall persevere further with testing out eyeliner, hoping I can clear it out better without bits of black floating around inside my eye, which would be embarrassing around relations who aren't in the know.Carol Ann wrote:Hello Crystyna,
A big old hug and a warm welcome from Carol Ann, sweetheart after all these years I too still haven't mastered eyeliner so don't feel bad.
Like a lot of my sisters will tell you practice practice.
For a Goth look, Purple would also be an ideal colour for eyeliner. I must try that out, too one day.

To compliment the invaluable online make up advice, I so hope I can find somewhere not too far away that does makeovers. I'd love to have make up, nail varnish and wigs applied and to try on different clothes, shoes, boots and jewellery.Marjory wrote:Hi and welcome. You should be able to pick up some makeup advice here.
If you have a store that specializes in goth and they have a makeup dept ask for a makeover. Those makeup girls are great. They makeup anyone who might buy their makeup.

Regrettably the few local goth stores don't have a make up department, as it would be good to have especially a Goth makeover, but I'll try to find somewhere so I can have my first, hopefully not my last makeover in a dressing service. Seeing the results of so many TGs, I often think I'd like to follow suit.
There are national shops that sell make up, and at least one could do makeovers, but the downside is that you'd be made up in front of other customers, but I won't rule out the idea of a makeover.

I tend to be sporadic, due to time limitations, but I'm keeping a log of the forum so that I can add other comments when things come to mind. Everyone on this forum is doing a much better job than I ever could for ideas. It's good to be accepted for who we are.Andi L wrote:Hi, Crystyna, and welcome to our little family. The girls here are really nice and willing to share on any topic, answer any questions you may have. Hope to read some of your thoughts on the various topics as they come up.

I like Youtube, and have seen some TGs on there and make up instructions of TGs and GGs being made up/applying their own make up, both gothic and not. I hope I can achieve their success one day.Lucy Michelle wrote:Hello Crystyna, a warm welcome to the forum.
