Sounds like paradise.
Hi Silver lady
I guess there always has to be a trade off in where we chose to live. Chiggers, ticks and rattlers don't so bad. I'm enjoying the annual two week Carnival that is in the mall parking lot on my side of the river that no ones dares to park in. It's about 100 feet off the left side of my deck.
I always look on the brightside Hon. I get free salsa and rap music all night from cars with 5000 watt stereos and 40' woofers. I got to talk with my cop friend, Liam when they up here last night breaking up a street fight right in front my building. A front row seat!
I also get to practice my powerwashing, cleaning off the sidewalk of dirty diapers and half eaten fried dough. I make a small fortune collecting Colt 45 cans and if Thunderbird bottles had a deposit,i'd be rich Carol Ann.
Hey CJ. You're smart. Can you recycle used condoms? I like to go green but I don't think that much.
I did start a pool with the monkeys. JP has $20 bucks on a stabbing tonight but I went with the odds. I'm sure someone will bust a cap. My tenant Pam and my sons boyfriend Jasons' cars were broken into on saturday night but don't worry girls. They had insurance.
The night is still young Silver Lady. It's only 10:53. The crack heads usually get up at 11:30PM and then the real fun starts. I have to get going and see if the wheels are still on my car. Hugs.
Love
Auntie Jeannie
PS I hope you don't have deer ticks in the woods. They can be dangerous Virginia!

Hey, you're very welcome, SilverLady! It was a total pleasure.
I had fun putting the cuffs on Aunt Jeannie and citing her for her bad taste in scarves.
Seriously, it was a breeze; the folks here are the greatest members any Mod (or Temp Site Admin) could hope for.
Looking forward to seeing you and Virginia back on the board more regularly. Good luck with the cardboard.
Love,
CJ

Excuse me CJ?
Hi Hon
You should be so lucky. That"Scarf" is an antique Kaminsky from way back in the day. My GG friend Maruja collects them and even has one with little baby monkeys. Those were the days CJ. You could to go out and kill any animal you wanted and have it made it into a scarf or coat. When I go out with that on these days the PETA freaks throw blood on me. If animals weren't meant to eat, they wouldn't taste so good.God works in mysterious ways CJ.
As for the cuffs,I loved it! I knew you would have the leopard fur lined ones. Call me,we'll do lunch and a whole lot more! Hugs.

PS. Do you own a riding crop Hon? That's my favorite! "Ride em' cowgirl! Giddy up horsey!"

Will be nice to have you back SL. I know all too good about the moving stuff. It's a real pain in the you know what. As for the creepy crawleys around, it's just a good thing you don't live out here with us. We're in the high desert at about 4,500 ft. We have all the furry critters. But the coyote's pretty much keep them in check.
Hugs,
Diana

Well, being serious here (yeah, right), missing ya two. Jeannie is being good, guess the meds kicked in, and CJ has run a tight ship. Don't worry about the furry thingies unless they're over 300 lbs. Take care and..umm...whats in THAT box??? Also know it takes time to build a new woodshed
hugs

Hi, ya'll - -
Well, in no particular order, I'll see if I can answer all your comments and questions!
We're still not hooked up to Internet or tv - have to go satellite for both - but the land line is being connected this coming week. No cable, dsl, or broadband where we're at, and I refuse to go dial-up for Internet as that's akin to the Stone Age!
In the meantime, I'm borrowing a friend's Internet connection and trying to keep up-to-date on the new member registrations.
We're almost to the top of the mountain, Donna, and the eastern edge of our property IS on the top of Green Mountain . . . with a nice cell tower, but we can't see it for all the trees (literally)! House faces SW, with beautiful views . . . one can see our property (in the distance) from the BRP if one knew where to look, but you can't see the BRP from the house.
Jeannie, as far as your scarves, leopard fur lined cuffs, riding crops, and your get togethers with CJ are concerned, I don't think we want to know about them . . . but sure hope you had fun!!
Carol Ann, as far as the Woodshed is concerned, no need for DIY plans . . . we're having a pre-built 10' x 14' wood shed (made with real wood, no less) delivered in the next week or so, and with a nice window.
Note to self: make sure there's bars on the window, pad the shed with foam, and put hooks on the walls for future forum inmates. Oh, the motorcycle gets to claim half the space, so DeeDee and Jeannie may have to double bunk it. Put in a light bulb, which can also be used as a heat source, and a chamber pot (aka thunder mug), which any inmates will have to take turns keeping it clean.
Critters that surround us? Lots of deer, rabbits, whistle pigs (aka ground hogs), squirrels, turkeys (the feathered variety, too), and even a fox or two (besides me, of course).
Snakes . . . I've only seen 1 dead one at the side of the road, I missed the other one, and I needed at least 2 to make a new pair of shoes.
Of course, we have lots of birds . . . morning doves, mockingbirds, woodpeckers, cardinals, sparrows and other songbirds, etc. . . . the bird feeder is going out this weekend to see what we can attract. If Auntie Jeannie shows up on our doorstep, we'll put her to work in our kitchen!
Seriously, though, Virginia and I are anxious to be back at the forum full time, and that will happen as soon as I can arrange satellite Internet and all the fun that goes with working out the kinks in a new system. In the meantime, I'll continue to borrow my friend's PC whenever I am able, but that's only 1-2 times a week.
Love and hugs, everyone . . . and thank you all for being such wonderful friends!!

Country living must be nice.
Hi you two.
Good to see you're settling in, living in the woods surrounded by all kinds of insects and animals. How far from your home is the outhouse? I would really miss indoor plumbing and paved roads. I'm sure Virginia is learning to play banjo so she can sit on the front porch with her 15 dogs and play Dueling banjos.I hear that Deliverence was voted "Best love story of all time" down there. I always liked Burt Reynolds.
It was rainy and cold all week here in beautiful, scenic Waterbury. Unfortunately Silver Lady ,the weather is beautiful today and perfect for carnival saturday night for the hoardes of people streaming up East Main Street as I write this.
I just walked up to the corner with Marley to get some brewskis. It's only 3pm and things are already starting to simmer. I took a few pictures for your viewing pleasure ladies. Looks like an exciting night is shaping up girls. Hugs.

PS Don't worry Virginia and Carol Ann. I wore my Kevlar bustier up to the package store. Just because i'm gorgeous doesn't mean i'm stupid you know!

Life is a carnival so enjoy the rides.
Hi CJ
I love compliments! Thanks Hon. Tonight is the last night of the carnival after two weeks CJ. It usually goes out with a bang,so to speak. I have some pictures I took of the Waterbury patrons and a shot from the Mall parking garage from across the river. It was a mission behind enemy lines Hon. I took Marley along to protect me. Obviously,I made it back alive and still look fabulous.
I also to went out on my deck on a break from printing all day to water the plants and make sure Rona was still there. Poor Silver lady and Viginia. They will have no excitement in their lives living on a mountain except for a stray animal. I can hear Virginia now" Honey! There's a deer in the yard! Do something!" Have a wonderful week ladies. Hugs.

Jeannie why were you shooting people at the mall? Were they shooting at you first? I know this is Waterbury but it still seems tacky.....
SL and Virginia, don't forget to bring the outhouse seat in at night when the cold weather sets in.
