I have to say this and I hope that most if not all of my sisters here agree with me. First, CD'ing is only one aspect of us, how it manifests itself will vary with each of us. Some, the dressing is paramount, others just the feminine aspects of conversations and relationships with both male and female. Second, this, this whatever you may want to call it, " a gift," "a birthright" some say a curse ( which it ain't)! is something to be cultivated, acknowledged and worn like a crown of pride. I know Sally said that we all have a cross to bear but CD'ing is not a cross, if anything it is a bouquet of beautiful flowers that we can give to everyone. We have this gift and when we recoginze it as such and allow it to express itself then we are the better for it. As I have said before we are not only wired different than our brethren we are wired BETTER as we have insight into both sexes and that gives us a distinct advantage in life. Don't be ashamed of who you are - you are unique and there is no one else like you. Just do like I did. I basically told my "shrink" "Hey, I am a CD'er and actually that makes me one step ahead of my unwired brethren, I don't have a problem with it. I like me and who I am!"
for a bit of levity: I would not recommend that you go to your seession dressed!
Best of luck and God Bless,
Deborah

Hi Deborah,
That's very interesting. Proposing going to a therapist appointment dressed.
On another topic really quick. I am not sure I agree with you about us being wired better.
I think we are wired differently. I don't think there is a such thing as better in a global sense. I tend to compartmentalize it more.
Anyhoo.. great post. It really never dawned on me to go to a therapist appointment dressed. You've really got me thinking. (Although I do know you were talking to Stephanie)

Hi Beauty,
Well I guess we can lovingly disagree, but I still think that we are wired better than our brethren. I think that we have the best of both worlds. We have the male side (no explanation necessary) and an attachment to our feminine side. I guess I can only speak for myself, but since I have stopped repressing this desire and taken time to try and understand this "female" inside me I have discovered some marvelous things about my wife and understand more about the other women that i come in contact with. Comparing this to my unwired brethern out there, yeah! we have it better! If we understand it and use it properly, we can really affect the lives of "our women" to the better - a win-win situation!!
OH! I was not suggesting that anyone go to counseling "dressed." If I were asked to show up dressed, I think a malpractice suit may be in order.
Thanks for all you do and your brilliant posts, I really enjoy reading what you say!
Love. Deborah

Hi Deborah,
Yes we can lovingly disagree
The best part is I agree with 99% of what you're saying. The only part you and I differ on is one word. Otherwise our feelings are exactly the same.
My bad about the wording the therapist comment. I missed the obvious word "not" in your sentence.
Thank you for your super kind words. I would have come after me with an internet bazooka!

Hi Jessie,
I guess that your "?" was directed at me if not - sorry, but I gotta response. Evidently as we develop in the womb certain things take place in our brains that help to determine our thought processes. Men are (I think I have this correct) are primarily "left-brained" meaning that men see a problem- develop a soultion- act on it - move on! Women , being more "right-brained",on the other hand tend to be less "direct." They, in a lot of situations, tend to "over-analyze" everything that happens. Typical is the fact that ask a woman a question that requires a simple "yes" or "no" answer! Is that what you get? Usually, they begin a running dialogue which basically skirts the issue and it drives guys nuts! PLEASE, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT IT IS JUST5 FEMALE (see Men are from Mars and Women from Venus). My point being that we as CD'ers' have brain patterns that allow us to revel in our female side a lot easier than a lot of our brethren. We were evidently born with this gift and (see Sally's post) we have these 57 genes that give us this inate ability. We do not only have this ability to understand to a better degree how and why women think and act the way they do, but for some of us this ability manifests itself in additional ways, i.e., cross-dressing, the ability to take on a feminine personna, gestures, language, walk, etc. This ability varies from individual to individual and depends on the amount of supression that we exert on these feelings, especially when we can't understand why we want to (one example) dress in various women's clothing.
I will reiterate another post that I had: It appears that as we get older and again according to science our testtosterone begins to diminish. This is what we have used primarily to repress these "female feeling," along with peer-pressure, cultural morays, etc. Why all these ads for Viagra?? Anyway, if you notice a lot of us begin to "discover" our selves after 40! And we begin to take the position of "hey! this is who I am and if you can't deal with it tough!!"
Well, don't know about you -- but I feel better!!
Love ya,
Deborah

I understood what you meant in my earlier post I do appreate that you did explain it more but I was just having fun with your words that is all. Something that I thought of when I read your recent post is that I am deslxiat (not as bad as I used to be when I was in grade school) is that I use more of my right side of the brain as (I think) it is where the more creative ideas come from the left is more the logical side and I have to say I have can never be said to be logical. Just look at my wadrobe.
