I can only speak for myself. I'm not, although I sometimes entertain the idea (along with the idea of transitioning in general--probably just a pipe dream). I'm sure others here have considered it, and probably a few have at least tried it, though I don't know whether any have used hormones on an on-going basis. Exquisite avatar, BTW. ..|/-

Hormones.

Yes, I am currently, and have been for the last four years on an estrogen and aldactone program, under medical supervision.

Kind Regards.

Watch nature, because it’s our greatest teacher, it moves and flows and moves on again. We can never be free until we disengage, so allow life to flow as you find it. The way it is, is the way it is.

hormones

I had quite dramatic mood swings for the first few months but since everything has been wonderful. They can have quite an effect on the mind and emotions though, probably more so than they have physical effects. I do believe there is quite a positive therapeutic psychological placebo effect attached to them in my case and this is quite common.

Is there any difference when I'm not on them?, well after 4 years it's a bit difficult to remember exactly how I felt before I commenced taking them, but I do know if for some undefined reason at this stage, I had to stop taking them I would find it very, very difficult to deal with.

A lot depends on the dosage and I am aware of medics who prescribe quite low dosages of estrogen to CD's who are having a mental struggle with it all and there has been a lot of positives from it. It has eased the emotional trauma without causing any physical changes, thus changing some peoples lives very much for the better.

Kind Regards.

I don't plan on taking hormones per se, but I have given much thought to creating a more feminine appearance for myself, more along the lines of electrolysis (definitely in 2005) and/or minor facial plastic surgery. (within 5 years or so)
Live it. Love it. OWN IT.
