Hi girls,
I picked my name in my usual methodical way. I looked up the most popular female names. The top 20, then I looked up the top 20 for the last 120 years, because I wanted a name that was not trendy or dated. Elizabeth was one of a handful of names that have remained in the top 20. It seemed to suit me, and I instantly thought of Elizabeth Montgomery, who even as a kid, I thought was a total babe. Then it just seemed to fit my personality, perfectly. I could be wrong, but it feels good to me, so that is why I chose it.
Love always,
Elizabeth

Hi girls, I chose my name from an old girl friend that was (I thought) my soul mate, I was wrong , But I fell for her so hard and thought we'd be married. My exwife was alwsys intimidated by the mention of her name. I did not use a name until I started posting here, So thanks all , for being here. ..........This is so cool .....Kristen

My name just sort of came to me out of the blue. I never had a femme name for myself when I was growing up. I mentioned before that I did drag shows once upon a time. I hadn't picked a name for my first appearance out, and I was wearing this fiery auburn wig. My girlfriend christened me "Jeanette Fox", but always called me "J" for short. In fact, for the longest time, in or out of female clothes, all my friends have called me "J". So I just extended the initial into a word.

Well, When I was signing up for this forum, I had never thought about having a en femme name before as at that time, I was looking for ways to destroy that side of me.
I thought of he ladies in my life that truly mean something to me and made a list. Their were five major ones. Doris (Mom), Stephanie (Wife), Nikki (Once a Best Friend), Gelinda (A teenager that I attempted to help), and Monica (a lady that helpied me in my working work many years ago). Well I have others but that is the main characters in this play ha ha.
Well I could not use my mothers or wife's names and I call my daughter Ashley, Nikki all time (SHort for middle name) so I decided on the next on the list was Gelinda and It seems to fit me and I have a good feeling about it. Boring I know. Gee

Wow, that’s cool, Merinda!
Everyone calls me by my birth-name, Marty, regardless of my dress-at-the-moment. Spoken, it could be either fem. or masc. (leans towards masc., I know). I wanted to use a femme name for this board, so I chose Nicole just because I think it’s such a beautiful name, and the feminized spelling of my name was taken.

I selected Sophie cos that was the name of my first lil pussy cat when I was really young, and Lawson cos it's my mothers maiden name and it kinda fit well together
I also remember watching a film where they said your name should be first pet with mothers maiden name and when I tried mine it was like, yep that's her name

In that case, mine would be Bright Eyes Fields. Sounds kind of hippie.SophieLawson wrote:I also remember watching a film where they said your name should be first pet with mothers maiden name and when I tried mine it was like, yep that's her name![]()

Crud...my first pet's name was Rex. So S. Lisa Smith I shall remain. Sally was a name I used on a dial up bulletin board and I got tired of that so it became the S. I picked Lisa 'cause I used to call my wife's work and used two names and voices with the receptionist. One was a "thug" named Lenny Leach and a woman (I was practicing my femme voice) who was his sister, Lisa Leach. So I became Lisa. Smith because it's a common name.

A fave movie of mine was 'Christine", which came out in 1983 I believe, and was based on the Stephen King novel of the same name. Christine is a 1958 Plymouth Fury that ends up possessing her new owner Arnie Cunningham. I felt at the time that I was "taken over", so to speak, by some unseen feminine force that I could not explain and had to give it a name to identify it. Thus I chose Christine. The Renee comes from the name that my mom would have named me if I had been born a girl. Little did she ever suspect or realize, that the girl she had always wanted to have would be born out of her 2nd son!
And that's the way it is...
