Your favorite fashion era?
Although I like contemporary fashion, I have actually always thought that fashion in the 20's was kind of cute. Ha! That is so funny but true. What is your favorite fashion era/style?

Howdy Y'all
Hmmm.....I am a bit eclictic in my fashion tastes. 20's era had some very cool styles, some 50's styles: LOVE poodle skirts ##oo## . Most 60's styles , no bell bottoms please. And I especially like some of the Victorian fashions.

Is There Any Question ???
Hi Girls
How can this be a question ??
The real fashion explosion happened starting in the late 1940s and blasted it's way through the 50s all the way up to the late sixties ...
women were still "unliberated" but their focus shifted from depression & war to romance and lifestyle ...
the Golden Era of Loungewear, Lingerie & Intimate Apparel ... exit corsets - enter satin panel / lycra open bottom & panty girdles, all-in-ones - circle-stitched bullet & sweater bras, balconette bras - soft, slinky, slippery & sheer nylon tricot & rayon blend fabrics in lacey slips, nighties & peignoirs - full fashion stockings & garter belts - a revolution in timeless panty designs ...
All of these inner & evening fashions created an atmoshpere for dress and coordinate designers to cast a spell on war brides that propelled the fashion industry to higher levels than ever before, laying the "foundation" (pun anyone ?:-) for what has now devolved into raw, bald-faced, robotic consumerism
As you can see ... I'm *Passionate* about *PassionWear*

Hi all,
Well, for me, it would have to be a bit of Betty Page's 1950's underwear, underneath either Stevie Nicks's long, wild-child frou-frou skirts and frilly blouses or underneath post-cyberpunk, Trinity-style PVC catsuits and leather dusters. Plus a healthy complement of Victorian-era bustles, corsets, and hoop skirts. A dash of Twiggy's polka dot mini-skirts and pastel stretch-vinyl high-heeled boots. A sprinkle of mid-twentieth century Dior dresses. Oh, and maybe a touch of Raquel Welch's leather and fur bikini from 1,000,000 BC. Yeah, that about covers it, I guess.
Love,
CJ

Hi girls,
I know, you think I am going to say "Elizabethan England" era. Nope, the late 1800's were just the greatest. Think the real reason I love westerns is to see the dresses those women used to wear.

Here is the whole page:

Well, you asked. If only they had ice and air conditioning back then?
Love always,
Elizabeth

Hi girls,
First I thought 20s, then 60s, then Stevie Nicks and after that I couldn't make my mind up. Then I thought of all the other eras and I decided on everything.
This was before I read the replies and found all of my faves were already included by others.
I wonder if there is a reason for this pattern we have here. I can just imagine the cogiati test including a question............
Do you have a favourite pop star image ?
Madonna
Kylie
Lulu
Stevie Nicks
