Get A Life

Post by Kerri »

Hi,

I have lost count of the amount of times I have heard that said.
But indeed I do need to get a life.
I'm in a rut! I spend too much time on this Forum.
Much as I like it, its time I did something else.

Can anybody suggest what url I should type in, or what search I should carry out. I need new interests!

All suggestions gratefully received.

Kerri,
Honey, I am afraid that I do not know enough about you to let you know what to do. I assume that there are organizations around that would love to have a volunteer give their time to help others. Churches, hospitals, non-profit organizations that help others in need. All can be very rewarding. As for time on this forum, you alone have to decide what is too much time. I know we enjoy your participation, but the pay here is rather meager so you will have to make the decision whether or not and in what time span you wish to contribute. Whatever you choice, we wish you all the luck in the world and keep us atuned to your decisions.

I'm pretty sure you're not serious.

Anyway, this forum isn't as active as other forums I could point you to, but then I don't want to get killed

Still playing Neverwinter Nights?

I guess it's too cold for walks in the hills, or gardening. Keeping up with your photography?

Is there nothing you can do outside of the house, as suggested by lovely Virginia?

Why would you want a URL? You'll still be sitting in front of the computer.

I guess you could check out some cooking web sites and learn to cook. Maybe integrate cooking and crossdressing, with a little maid role play with your wife to hopefully put her in a more accepting frame of mind? 8)

Hi ,

I meant this Post to be a bit of fun. My intention was to get a thread going with different people suggesting Internet Sites of General Interest.

I have thought about getting involved in some local community organisations, but my free-time is seasonal, ie. in the summer months I have loads to keep me occupied.

Take Care

Hi,

DonnaT, you've hit the nail on the head.
Woodcarving has been one of those things I'd like to try. But first I need to build myself a new shed. I think you call it a Den.

I have an old shed which is too low but hopefully I will be able to build a replacement there in the New Year. I was thinking of making it more of a workshop.

I have also thought about cookery. Not that I am likely to be able to combine it with dressing. But we enjoy eating out, and I would like to be able to produce a meal for my wife Martha. She is a very good cook, and often does splendid meals for our dinner parties for family and friends.
My usual role on these occasions is to serve the wine.
And do the washing-up.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Hiya Rebecca-Lynn,

That site is pretty neat.
In return why dont have a look at two other addictive sites.
www.candystand.com and www.zylom.com
But since I installed SP2 I cant get the latter to run.

Sorry to disillusion you DonnaT,

If you click on this link
http://www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/gallery ... o=56&Key=1

You will see Stonehaven Harbour. This is where I spend some of my leisure time walking, and drinking ale in the harbour front bars.

The picture I linked to yesterday is of Aberdeen Harbour. The industry represented in that picture is the industry I work in, on a daily basis.
We sell lifting gear and carry out gear inspections for shipping and offshore platforms. (see below).
http://www.rigjobs.co.uk/oil/platform.shtml

I live halfway between both harbours (seven miles each way), in a modern suburb which grew out of the old whaling village of Portlethen.

The image on the next link is 20 minutes walk from my house.
http://www.silver-city-angling.com/page ... lethen.htm

Now for my mind-picture of your home. I see two options, one and my favourite is of a Naval Dockyard filled with ships like USS Nimitz.
The other picture I imagine is a harbour area with Prawn fishing boats like in Forrest Gump.

I would be interested to find out which is nearer the truth.

During the summer I spend most of my free time here, walking in the hills.

take care

Tnx for reminding me ...

In fairness to the "forum", tnx to the internet for allowing CD's and other "estranged" Earthlings the "illusion" of contact with "real" people ...

Sometimes I wonder if the "closeted" life is a negative ... but when I play music, and remember the madness of managing a ladies wear store in an urban mall, especially on Boxing Day, I really enjoy the peace and quiet of my own company ...

and I enjoy a brief adventure in cyberspace every once in a while - but I wouldn't want to "live" there.

Hi Kerri,

Nice thread :)

Donna it is always ok to point or show links to other TG'd sites. We aren't in this for profit (i know you know that) but since we aren't feel free to post any links you want to other TG'd sites.

The only criteria is that they are relatively clean. :)

This really turned into a funny and fun thread. :) =D>

Thanks to you all for replying. I have enjoyed this immensly.

This is my first time on line for ages.
The family have all been together for Christmas, which has been great.

Today Martha and I drove 240 miles to collect our new puppy.

Amy (her new name) is a 9 week old Tibetan Spaniel.

She sleeping just now, but when she wakes up I will get her to pose for a photo.
