I am slowly accepting myself as a crossdresser. As you may know, I had breast implants last year but really never crossdressed. My wife is understanding and has no problem with it. I think she kind of likes me in skirts and heels. I do not pass very well but that is not a problem with me. I think my mom knew what was coming after I had the implants (my wife had them also). I still work at the hospital as a nurse and have started wearing a little makeup to work everyday--starting slowing at first so not to make a big change in my look but wearing more and more now.
We are going to my mother's this afternoon to celebrate her 60th birthday and I plan on wearing a black dress, hose, heels and earrings. My mother and family have already seen me dressed so it should be no big deal. They are all very accepting. I just though I would update you on myself.

David, thank you so very much for keeping us updated!! I enjoyed reading about your surgery last year and wondered how you were doing. It's great to hear you've started wearing a little makeup and you're taking it slowly. Congratulations on having a wife who is understanding and enjoys who you are. I hope you tell her
every day what a treasure she is.

The event went fine. There were only about 11 people so it was not a huge party. Everyone thought I looked great--a few comments about my dress and that was it. The dress showed a little more cleavage
than I thought--I didn't mine--I am not sly about my breast--I am proud of them. Anyway, I great time.

David,
That is wonderful news. I'm glad all has worked out for you at the party. It is nice to hear that you are taking your time developing your new look. Taking time gives everyone around you time to absorb the change and not see you as a male one day and a female the next. The shock factor is reduced and acceptance is easier to come by. Good luck on your journey and please keep us all updated. Again congrats on the wonderful news.
