If you tell...a lesson
I'm about to prove again that I have NO writing skills. The reason for this post is two-fold....an update on telling my sister and a caution for those who want to share with others. My sister has been great and with our Christmas phone call, she wanted to see pics from my party (I had told her I wanted to get there). Her son was working, she had access to her PC, so I emailed a few to her. She loved them...asked questions about my dress...general nice girl talk. She is so OK with this....its wonderful. But she had to delete the files so the confused kid wouldn't get more confused. Which is fine..I agree with that. But LOL....she said she had to print one first. I was curious..asked why...and she said to show to her hubby. Moment of silence on my end..as this guy is a redneck...last time I saw him we were chugging a few beers, yelling at football games on TV. She told me she showed him my Disney pics and one from last years party which I had sent when I first told her. A little thought..and I just asked what his reaction was. He was ok with it, but if I ever visit them again (1200 miles away) wonder if he'll offer me a beer.
And I'm really not concerned since I do get out (that always has exposure risks) but I was surprised she had shown him. But my point is..especially for younger folks here.....once you tell someone, you revealed a huge secret, no telling where it will lead and no going back. So be cautious..and don't tell unless you consider all the consequences. Ya never know. In my case, no problem. Good luck to all, be careful

CJ, as usual, speaketh as our prophet! You gotta be who you are. Sometimes that is not what others want you to be, but it is your life. You don't want to "get in their face" with it, but if you feel the necessity to share your "gift," just be aware that it has consequences, both good and bad.
I will say this - several times the question has been asked by some of our sisters, "Should I tell (so and so)?" Well, unless one of our sister's understands "so and so," ain't no way we can make such a judgement. The final decision to share comes down to the individual and it (as my sis CJ says) should not be taken lightly, because "you can't put Humpty Dumpty back together again!"
Love,
Virginia

Darn..been so busy... CJ's comments are where I am now. I'm so happy with who I am and not overly concerned who knows. I'm content, happy with DeeDee and, hard to explain, but finally who I am. As far as the rest of my post..it was meant mostly for those thinking of telling family or friends. If you are younger..in a career situation..it could destroy that. Virginia put it better than me..."you can't put Humpty Dumpty back together again!" When you're ready..and taken in to consideration what it really means...please... tell everyone. It will make you so happy..I am
