Kimberly I like to fantasize but reality sets in and I couldn't do that to my wife. Walter Mitty is my hero and I spend a great deal of time plotting and planning on how to carry off future forays. Step by step. Of course Key West sounds great right now. Some how I will get some time. Being a loner I don't have any close friends that I could use as an excuse to visit. Being retired eliminates business trips. I'm very patient but time is passing me by.

Wendae I truly applaud you for your consideration of your wifes feelings. We talk a lot here about spouses not accepting us and our difficulty with this, but the bottom line is this is a woman I love and I'm very grateful to have been married to her for the last couple of decades. I need to conduct myself accordingly.

My wife and I do take seperate vacactions sometimes. Her's are usually to visit her mom far away, mine were usually camping trips or visiting my sister. It's not that important that she knows what I wore when I was sleeping in my tent or while she was visiting her mom with our kids in tow.
