re: Shoipping nightmare

It is always a nightmare when your card does not work. I'm working in a store, and when customers have a card that does not work, they feel very embarrassed. I'm not selling clothes but speakers! by the way, it's the same thing: you can't feel good when your card does not work.

Now for the panties, it push it a step over! I guess how you felt. But as a salesman myself, we don't care about cards that does not work. this happens so often.

Knowing this, I always go to the bank ATM to get cash before shopping, even more If I had to shop for girly clothes.

Thanks god, I wear junior sizes, I can say it's a gift for my dauther (that I never had lol!) i'm not ready to shop for myself openly yet.

I thank all for this thread. I get a lot of chuckles just reading about these things happening. Funny how most of the shopping stress is because we are afraid the proverbial (someone) will CATCH us..

A really interesting topic or thread.

I have had knowing comments from SAs which were not embarrasing. The one that comes to mind was 'nylon stockings, that can be an expensive taste'.

The only true embarrasing (downright insulting really) moment I have had was when an SA said 'panties, we will find these later soiled in the gents toilet'. I knew i should have complained to the manager, but at that point I was afraid that this would just add to the embarrasment.

One way or another all men who buy lingerie are buying it for themselves, whoever is going to wear it. Interestingly I find it more embarrassing buying things for Paul when I am Paula, than buying things for Paula when I am Paul. When trawling the charity shops I have even been known to try on a dress when in drab. Just the other day I happened to find a lovely pink dress suit in a local charity shop, tried it on and it looked as good as I had hoped, I am sure I heard a couple of ladies out side the dressing room discussing my choice but when I came out there were a few women around and a male assistant. He took the suit looked at me and said "What a lovely colour" I replied that it was actually the colour I wasn't sure about, he carried on," Oh it's very nice I'm sure it will look lovely2 or something like that. I rather wondered if I had found a "sister" but didn't dare ask. There is a photo of me in the suit, my "Mother f the Bride" outfit here http://paula-paulasplace.blogspot.co.uk ... -year.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just because you don't believe it, that doesn't mean it's not true
