Did you play with dolls as child?

How are you dealing with or handling this aspect of your life?

I didn't play with dolls as a kid, but I have a pretty good doll collection now. I got started on that when I was about 20, by a girl I know. She and her mom collected dolls, and I went doll shopping with her once. After that I was hooked, now I have a few dozen. Back in those days she didn't know I was a crossdresser, and I didn't really know it either. So years later when I told her about it, she was talking to a mutual friend of ours about it and the friend replied "so that explains the dolls."

I played with my girl friends' dolls when they wanted to play. I'm not sure if I ever got enough play time with them, but I never asked for my own. Hummmm.... maybe a mistake?

No, I never associated dolls with my interest in dressing, which began at least as early as age 7 or 8.

Criously, I didn't play with dolls as a kid, but I like them now. I particularily like the very pretty. elegant, nice looking dolls, not Barbie or Raggedy Ann. And I don't play with them, I just admire their beauty. So I think it is related, I like pretty outfits and beautiful women and I like to be surrounded with things that remind me of that.

My many here I have never played with dolls, I had a male doll - action man but didn't like it. I could never work out the appeal of dolls as they didn't do much!!

I had boy dolls, one or two, I may have played with my sister a bit but do not remember. I did have GI Joes and played with them like normal boy stuff.

I remember when I was about 8 or 9 being at a party in a friends house and found myself innocently/absentmindly playing with his sisters dolls. When others noticed including the mother of the house I was teased for being a sissy. Then later I sometimes asked for an action man for christmas or my birthday for totally boyish reasons but my father would not allow it because dolls were only for girls or sissies. It's ironic that men can buy life size dolls for sex without been sissies but boys are sissies if they want dolls to play with :-k

yes Martina, very ironic. If men impose their will/desire/lust on others it is perfectly understandable. But to be acquiescent or sensitive to the desire of others is to be a sissy. Well, that's life, the things which it seems should be reviled are admired, and vice versa.

Men who use dolls for sex are also looked upon with disfavor by many.

I agree with Susan, flesh and blood women beat the heck out of a rubber doll any day.

I built a lot of plastic models as a kid, planes ships, and quite a few figure models of knights, cowboys, soldiers. A stuffed panda was as close a thing to a doll as I might have had.

Although I don't remember playing with dolls, I probably did when my sister and I played house.

I know she played with my trucks so I probably played with her dolls.
