I'm a virtuoso on my main instrument and I'm told that I'm pretty good on my second too.
It costs a fortune to look this cheap!

We've got another concert coming up on the 15th at the same hall, I'm just wondering what to wear, how far can I go? I think I should stick to trousers but I am wondering about "pushing the envelope" just a bit more.

And if anyone notices I will just tell them the truth, I like to enjoy my clothes!

An interesting problem for an artist. "Do I self express, while I'm self expressing, or do I not self express, while I'm self expressing?
I am a vessel of the Goddess. Let me express my calling to a feminine life through nurturing love and relatedness.

How concerned is the conductor and folks in charge about this? Some of the groups I play in are pretty adamant about concert attire, and although they might not come out and say anything there is the risk of not being invited back with the group, especially for paying gigs.

The rule is all black, I know I can't go too far, however liberal they are (and they are a pretty liberal bunch) I don't think I should go too far, or make it too obvious not least for the sake of the charity that is being supported, I think a pair of flat heeled dress shoes, black trouser socks or maybe hose, black slacks with some sparkly lace round the waist, and a black silk blouse, just a watch for jewlery.

I would like to bring out the LBD, but even if I thought I would be accepted, I can't sit with my legs together when I play, and I don't think I could play with lipstick on either, but one day I woudl love to try.

This week I bought a black satin blouse, with a shirt style collar, and black satin covered buttons, it has very short, cap style sleeves, but I think I may well wear this on Wednesday for the concert. Along with My dressy trousers patent pumps and a ladies watch I shall feel wonderfull, I think I will have to keep to the DJ though (shame)

If I get a chance to take some I will post some photos of the differnet combinations, I already have one up of the LBD

I don't wear makeup but I wouldn't want to play with lipstick. Sometime I should ask what GG brass players do about this.

In lieu of LBD there is always long black dress

FOILED AGAIN;- I have just had an e-mail changing the dress code, it is now black tie, so there goes any CD type teasing or fun. Maybe it will help me concentrate on my playing

Paula

Never mind - I am sure you will get another occasion to play - in more ways than one.
