Re: I'm ruined!
The few bits of male clothing I possess have been donated to me by, relatives having a clearout of their stuff, and some of my wifes friends who's husbands have died or left them. My uncle used to pay hundreds of pounds for shoes and I inherited them when he died thirty odd years ago. I still have loads I have never worn. and some will be back in fashion again soon. The only clothing I buy is femme clothing And I find it a challenge finding new excuses for it appearing in the washing basket. The T-shirts , stockings ,tights and socks that is , I could never think of an excuse for my wife if she found one of my dresses or other underwear in there.

Re: I'm ruined!
Uh oh
I think I'm lost? * leaves this room and checks door sign again...
Yep, it definately says "I'm ruined" on the door. Yet all I see is some chic named Donna who's clearly seen the light? I really cant see the problem it should be called " I'm improved!" hahahahaha
Seriously, I know how you feel Donna, I'm the same. I stopped replacing 'HIS' stuff in a flash heehee. Yet I'm addicted to buying Karin more clothes than she ever needs. It's always such a good deal tho? I hit sales racks, thrift stores and car bootsales almost every week, and it's become a game for me..'dress for less'. The aim being to get an entire outfit for less than £10.00. I get shoes from 50p to £3.00, jeans for a pound, dresses from a pound to five pounds and so on, and it's usually brand new stuff. I find the bootsales are the cheapest, then the thrift stores and sales racks about even? If I go out, I usually come back with stuff I could probably manage without, but they're such gooood deals, and soooo cute heehee. Trouble is I'm out of space to store it all. Definately an addiction yes, but ruined? Meh I call it improved!

Re: I'm ruined!
Once I came out JoAnn's wardrobe expanded a lot. I am now at that point that my wife has said that if JoAnn wants something new that something else must go because there is no more room in the closet. LOL. JoAnn now has twice as many shoes as my male side does and almost the same amount of clothing as my male side. As far as undies, I stopped wearing male undies some months ago. I still wear male undershirts but only for work.

Re: I'm ruined!
40$ for a bra? Goodness, at Joe Fresh I usually get really good ones (rayon-silk-spandex blends) at about 20~25$ a piece before taxes. It's just hard to find stores that aren't Walmart knockoffs or specialty boutiques nowadays since they only survive in smaller communities.Ralitsa wrote:I will resist the temptation of diverging into a discussion about inflation and monetary policy (for now anyway, but I might later)
Funny about that isn't it? I can spend $40 for a bra and not think it too expensive (as long as it fits nicely), and I will easily pay $100 for a nice dress, but $20 for drab pants is just way too much![]()
There really is nothing enjoyable about boy clothes, they are BORING!!!!!
But a cute dress on the other hand....... I really do need to go shopping.
I agree with you, male clothes are very boring although I'm willing to fork over a little more for quality as I tend to wear my jeans past the threadbare point.

Re: I'm ruined!
That's my problem also. I have literally 100s of dresses, 100s of skirts, blouses, etc, well over 1,000 in total, all of which I have outgrown by hundreds pounds or more, and I still have not purged.Karin wrote: Trouble is I'm out of space to store it all. Definitely an addiction yes!
Time to purge, I believe.
Maybe when the temperature drops about 40 degrees, I should open the storage unit for a totally free giveaway only to to members of this forum? Sizes 10W-24W going once...

I normally shop at GW but Walmart is having some great sales now. Dillards has always been a bit pricey for me!

Perhaps I'm missing the intended humor, but if it's a matter of no longer fitting, I don't consider it purging...

I agree with Drea, if it does not fit or you are no longer wearing it, getting rid of something is not purging but just cleaning out your closet to make room for more.Drea Lynn Stewart wrote:Perhaps I'm missing the intended humor, but if it's a matter of no longer fitting, I don't consider it purging...

I am a physically male person that likes to wear feminine clothes at times.
Just trying keep a balance for my self along with keeping my wife and kids in mind.
