Well I heard from my wife and the real estate person in Dallas, TX. A lady has mad an offer on our house and pending no major problems we should close the first week in Oct.. It will be great to get the wife and cats up here and be no longer seperated. I plan to fly back the day before closing. I looked into the POD moving system and really like what I saw. My wife has found a company that packs you house and knows how to pack these PODS with little waist. I looked at their website and saw that it is made up of ex-Marines and the owner used to be a Transpertation and Packing Officer. Sounds like after he retired, that he found a way to use his military training. LOL Their prices are reasonable fair. Right after my wife showed the website to me, I contacted them and they told me that it usually only takes a single day to pack up a house of our sq footage and pack the POD. From our conversation, we estimated that it would only take a single large POD to pack what we are taking with us. The main reason I want to use the POD move is , I don't have to rent a huge rent truck and make the 2.5 day trip to here. I did that once and swear that I never do that again. LOL

Having been part of many local moving parties, and a few long-distance ones, I can appreciate why you don't want to do that again. I helped one friend move from CA to Minnesota, and drove a big U-haul as one of three from CA to Idaho once.

That's good that you and the wife and the cats all get to be together again.
